Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThere were no sheets on the bed, only a fitted sheet. The breakfast some days ran out quickly and was not replenished regularly. The TV was very old and had a bad viewing angle. There were also no sockets near the bed to charge our mobile phones. In the bathroom there was no shampoo and shower gel but only a 3 in 1 shampoo. (shampoo, shower gel and hand soap). There was no fridge in the room.
It is a very nice hotel, with a very beautiful design from the outside and nice paintings inside which are also for sale for art lovers. Access to the city center is easy and fast as there are two bus stops near the hotel (three minutes on foot). The room was very warm and we could relax on our return from the trip to the city which was very cold. The room had a nice view and hot water throughout the day. The breakfast was good, there was variety in the buffet for all tastes as well as coffee. The staff was kind and helpful. The WiFi was fast.

RomaniaCleaning was poorly made. Room was dusty even after the cleaning service. The bathrooms walls were dirty, hairdryer seemed like that was never clean. There was a 3 in 1 shampoo: hand soap, shower gel and hair shampoo. One placed above the sink and one the bathtub side. As man I have nothing against this, but my girlfriend finds it as low quality products. Tv was flat but poor quality, several channels in german, one in french, so don't expect anything from it.
Breakfast - was included, it was the same food but had enough variety, good coffee. Beds were comfy. The room was warm, we had to set the heating radiator on level 1 of 5. The location is relatively close, 30 min walk to centrum and 30min walk to the Schönbrunn palace. We got free taxi from airport to the hotel. On our way back we took the OBB Scotty train (S1 + S7) price 2.4 euro / person, very comfortable because has the station exactly in the airport.

AustriaThe „art aspect“ about this hotel is only to be found in the fassade of the building and a fair amount of paintings inside the hotel. The rest of the hotel isn‘t artsy at all. It’s old and a bit cheap. The walls are very thin, so even in your room in the first floor you can hear the use of cutlery and dishes in the breakfast area. Our room was dirty. There was curly hair all over the pillows and sheets. One pillow smelled like a person had used it before. Which was probably the case… That was the worst thing. We used thin sleeping bags and covered the pillows with towels, as it was very late when we arrived. Normally I would have requested the sheets to be changed. Never saw anything like that. Sadly the room had quite uncomfortable mattresses. I woke up with a slight shoulder pain. The breakfast person was highly unmotivated while cleaning up tables and bringing new dishes for the coffee area. The noise he made with the dishes was very loud and unpleasant. Maybe the hotel needs to pay him more. Same with the cleaning lady. Probably highly underpaid <-> therefore unmotivated <-> poor work <-> bad payment. Break that cycle!
The staff at the reception was great. Super friendly. The breakfast was okay. Fresh fruit and vegetable. Poor quality of bread though, which is sad for the fact that Austria has excellent bread. In theory there are parking spaces directly in front of the building - at least we were lucky to find a spot.

United KingdomThe only issue I found was people chat loud on balconies on the apartments near the back of the hotel (not related to hotel). This went on quite late. Otherwise hotel is quiet (I had rear facing room). The road out the front is not busy.
Great breakfast choice from buffet. Good selection of different items. Nice interior of hotel. Many restaurants and supermarkets within short walk (Lidl, Billa etc). Good location although Vienna is quite a large town and I timed 13 minute walk to the nearest underground line. 30 mins or so walk to Westbahnhof and main Central station (in opposite directions), so hotel is in the middle of these if you are using trains for trips to Melk or moving onto Salzburg etc.

All in all ok value for money. The standard of the room was basic. No kettle or water. Towels were just about ok but clean. We had to ask room service to change the towels in our room each day but the room was not serviced during our stay. Location is good and buffet breakfast was ok. Just a bit more attention to detail would make this Hotel extra nice.

GreeceThis is the case when the photos are much better than the real picture so you get disappointed in the beginning, but during the stay you understand it is not that bad overall. Also, the hotel's location gives a strange (and wrong!) impression to someone who is visiting Vienna for the first time.

RomaniaThere is no terrace/balcony/on top of the block - terrace, etc where one could have stayed and drank coffee, smoke a cigarette, etc. The breakfast was pretty ok but everyday were the exact same things. For a few-days stay it is ok but for someone who stays there for a week or more, having the exact same thing would not be pleasant.
Good prices, nice place, clean, the breakfast food was ok for a short stay, relatively close to public transportation means and to the city centre, there's a Billa shop 2 minutes away from the hotel and a small plaza with a few terraces but they didn't seem to be too clean or welcoming. At the end, it is a nice place to stay and it's prices are super ok. I would recommend it to my friends.
