Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaWe bought our own alcoholic drinks at Duncan's on Elizabeth St and somehow the housekeeping staff thought we'd used a beer from their supply in the bar fridge. Landed on our room bill, got it removed.

Excellent location in the heart of the city. Personally I would have preferred the tourist info / brochures in the main reception area rather than in the ground floor entranceway. Breakfast choice was good and staff always very friendly.

AustraliaReception struggled to understand payment request, I wanted to use debit card, had to transfer money onto a credit card at reception to pay. When asking “can I use debit card, she acted like a credit card is a debit card. House keeping was very late in the afternoon, one day we got missed. 5 nights no new bed linen. Drinking equipment washed in bathroom, felt unpleasant, also no detergent used. Only one cup, provided. Window view was air conditioning ducts, was hoping to enjoy city lights at night. I hope all this information helps.

AustraliaI hadn't realised it was a mainly 'working person overnighter' hotel and I expressed surprise when I was charged a refundable fee in case I used bar facilities or something - The customer service person next to mine - ie an eavesdropper -interrupted and actually argued with me!! I had only commented in surprise - I have been in many hotels in Europe but none in Australia - I didn't particularly care about the charge it simply took me by surprise and I was half laughing but this women took it as a major criticism which I thought was a bit unprofessional There was some sort of massive air conditioning unit in the hall outside the door of my room which was excessively noisy and made it hard to get to sleep but considering it was an inexpensive room I guess it was par for the course
I loved the room with the view over Collins Street It was good value for money and the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean The hotel was not too far from NGV , had a late checkout and was close to the arcades for a nice breakfast
