Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I like the fact they renovated the rooms and plan to renovate the building. I told the owner/manager a few things on checking out and he listened to me and wrote down the suggestion I had. When we walked into our room we were blown away on how nice it was, how big the room was and it came with a full kitchen in a separate room. We stayed here the year before and they were just starting the renovation then. We knew they were updating and they did a great job.

There was nothing good about this property at all. At check in I was to pay before entering my room that I had booked. When asking how to locate my room I was given little to no information and when finally finding it I was very unsatisfied. When entering the room I attempted to lock the door and when doing so I found that the owner of the hotel (more of a hostel) had broken both of the locks on the door making it so it could not be locked from the inside. When seeing this it made me very uncomfortable and unsettled. I returned back to the front desk and explained my concern and was told “The locks are like that for a reason, we need to be able to get in the room. There is an electrical lock, you will be fine.” After hearing that I explained that the locks shouldn’t be taken off and that every hotel has these locks to give comfort and safety to their paying customers. I then handed him the key and politely asked for my money back as I had not felt comfortable staying there and had found another place to go. He then told me he would get me a refund and after 5 minutes of watching him stare at his computer screen he then came outside and told me he could not do the refund and that he would have his manager do it the following day. When calling the following day to verify that my refund would be made I was told that “when booking online you don’t get a refund” and then was hung up on for asking why booking online would be any different then booking a different way and explaining that I was told i’d be getting a refund. I have tried calling back multiple times and they will not answer. WORST place to book! Do not trust them with your money or safety!
