If you prefer a cool bedroom, beware! The first night, despite the "cooling" system being on full, the temperature started at 25.5°C, and ended up >27°C - we slept badly, and woke up feeling dried out. The next day, having left the windows wide open all day, the temperature was down to 20°C (great!) but the centrally-controlled radiator in the room was hot - and the staff were unable to turn it off. This night was better, but we still woke up hot and dehydrated. (Note: this is also a minor downside of the great central location - it's too noisy, being right next to the busy central tram station, to leave your windows open all night.) Also, minor nitpick: the in-room Nespresso coffee tasted awful - undrinkable. But luckily there are lots of decent coffee spots nearby!

The shower cubicle was rather small despite the bathroom being a decent space. I think this tightness is due to the position of the handrails and the taps which takes up some space.

Excellent location right next to the Basel train station (with a Migros supermarket), and the buses/trams. Friendly staff.

The bathroom facilities were very good, with the exception of the orange mould under the shower door roller. It just need to be cleaned and seemed to be missed, but other than that, everything was clean and tidy.

The Hotel was 300 metres from the Basel Bahnhof, which was great, as I could walk directly to the Hotel, once I had completed my bus trip from the Basel EuroAirport.

Breakfast can be improved in terms of quality, service and choice. Lobby / bar showing endless reels of rather sexist „fashion“ shows, remark in this regard not taken seriously

The fitness room is minimalistic. There are not even simple weights to lift or bands to stretch. I like harder beds and pillows, but I guess it's a matter of taste... Also, too much air conditioning, that can't even be stopped (so I woke up with a sore throat).

Nice atmosphere, with a piano player in the lobby in the evening. Great place to have a cocktail (restaurant also looks really good, but haven't tried). Friendly staff and neat decoration. Room was surprinsingly quiet, considering that our window faced the train station's square !

Food was very, very expensive when converted to AUD. Breakfast was 27 CHF equals 46.42 AUD. Bathroom was cramped.
