Only downside was a lack of soundproofing but with earplugs, was all good.

Loved our room, had a little sitting room area nearby with great few of the mountains. Room was cozy, good selection for breakfast, even had bacon! The staff were friendly and had good banter.

Hotel was tired. Carpet threadbare on the stairs. Room was very old fashioned with tired looking decor and furnishings. Beds were two single pushed together. Only one very small thin pillow each. No-one around late to ask for another. Basin in bathroom was badly cracked. Needs a proper upgrade really for the money charged and the beautiful location.

Located towards the top of the town, very close to bus stop Kirche for the Grindelwald Terminal (to get up to the Jungfrau) It was a walk or a bus ride to Grindelwald First gondola station, not 'next door' as stated. However we didn't mind the walk to the town for restaurants and bars, shops. Free bus ticket was given to us at reception Parking was good and free. Staff were pleasant and helpful Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice with hot and cold options. There is a balcony with tables and chairs overlooking the mountains. We took the bus to Grindelwald Terminal a mile or so down the mountain to catch the Gondola up to connect with the Jungfrau Railway to the glacier. This was a must-see experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the day we spent. Don't limit the time up there. Plenty to see and do. Restaurants expensive so we took a picnic and just bought hot drinks. It can be very cold even when it is really warm in the resort.

The location is a little bit far from the main street and train station. The interior is outdated.

The hotel balcony has beautiful mountain views, the breakfast is delicious, and parking is convenient.

Power socket is limited to one side of the bed only. And another one near the table. One morning, water supply was disrupted for a while.

The place is a bit further away from the city center, about 15-20 mins walk from the train station. I appreciate it since that means you get to stay at the quieter side of Grindelwald. Hotel room is a bit bare, but you have everything you need. They also have a public area where you can use common fridge and microwave. The breakfast was a nice surprise for us, since we didn't expect the room to come with breakfast. It's basic, but it's nice -- you know how expensive the food in Switzerland is.

The location, the view, the very pleasant staff. A good choice for breakfast. Free parking. Booked a room with a balcony and view of the Eiger to which both excelled. The hotel is in a good location to enjoy all the amenities of Grindelwald. Would definitely book again.

Interesting communication styles when dealing with international tourists. It felt hard to get the information you needed and was often very abrupt.

The breakfast was awesome. The views were stunning. The transport was handy but hard to work out. The beds were great.

We knew that this hotel was an older more traditional style however was a bit disappointed at the cleanliness of the room. There was a strong odour of cigarette smoke in the room and the shower had quite a bit of mould in it - especially the shower curtain. The bed was ok - but probably the least comfortable one we had during our4 week trip.

The location was good with easy walking to the shops and restaurants. The elevated location gave beautiful views of the area. Checkin was easy and efficient and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good.

The lady Ms Christina at reception is upmost helpful and very very friendly. The breakfast especially the raw fresh Salmon is so so good. The room and breakfast view are so amazing and breathtaking. Strongly recommended. Will be back..
