Our stay at Hotel Sonne was great. Staff members were very helpful and also went out of the way in designing my itinerary and suggested places of interest. The rooms were nice and my daughter enjoyed the chocolates which were in the rooms.

I understand that they will be closed for 2 months for some renovation/upgrading work after this October. So I guess all those imperfections will be fixed by then. 😀

Super friendly staffs! They have a bus-stop named under their hotel. Yes, you heard me right, the bus stop is named Matten, Hotel Sonne! You definitely can't miss it! Remember to ask for your Guest Card which you can take the buses within Interlaken and train to Grindelwald for free. You get some discount on the full Jungfrau Railways tickets. The bakery shop opposite the hotel is very good too!

I stayed during the time when it was hazy and the rains had just stopped pouring. The clouds were low below and the mountains were covered with fresh snow. The view from the balcony were just great. I was also upgraded to a double room with a very nice balcony.

Only to point out that shower handle needs little TLC because it was leaking.

I only stayed for 2 nights but it was an awesome experience to stay there. Easy to get transport. Staff was very helpful. Plenty of Coffee & Tea was available for anytime use.

The Hotel Upgraded us to a deluxe room - The room was newly renovated and was perfect for a GCC resident. Everything was well organised and the coffee station was always refilled and the hotel is very clean and staff is well mannered and helpful.

The beds were really comfortable - Slept like a baby.... The room was decently big but with much space for a family of 4. The coffee stations were really great and served some good coffees. We really liked everything about Hotel Sonne. The owner was very helpful and gave us a helping hand in all our planning.

We were given a very warm welcome and the staff at the Check-in counter - SHIRAJ was very helpful & very entertaining. He specially gave us a room which was good for us. The room had a very nice balcony and also had a newly renovated bathroom with SHATAF. It was indeed a pleasure to stay with Hotel Sonne. When we check-ed out we were also given recommendations on how to travel and suggested us a special route to go to Italian part of Switzerland. The route was with breath-taking views.

Quiet serene room with good space management. My floor had a lounge facility with free coffees and cookies. The room was a single room and enough space for all my belongings. It was great views from the window. I was even upgraded to a twin room with balcony - Thank you Hotel Sonne.

The breakfast option is only for vegetarians. There is a bakeshop across the road though.

Property is very clean, not only the rooms but even the common areas. Access to the property and the rooms are through electronic keys sent to your mobile phone which are shareable to every member of the group so you don’t have to worry about losing it. The bus stop is just a few steps away. Internet is very fast. Staff are very corteous, helpful and accommodating. They attend to your concerns promptly.

The check-in was so simple and the staff was very accommodating and understanding. We were given a big room and we enjoyed our room balcony. We had free chocolates in the hallway and they were indeed very delicious.

Cute Hotel, Accommodating staff. All our requests were heard and executed with a smile. The rooms were of decent size and the balcony in one of the rooms was shared. Everything else was great and suggested locations were also very good.

Too Expensive

We stayed in an Apartment. I would like to mention that the apartment was surely pricey but it was the only thing available in the town of Interlaken. We stayed for 4 nights and we were happy as the apartment was very spacious and had all amenities as required.
