Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThings move in this hotel with this little extra gentle energy and than this first slightly irritated reaction from the long term standing staff.
The hotel has a great view and rooms have what they promise.

Czech RepublicBreakfast could have been more varied. The eggs were not tasty. The hotel is located on a hill, so keep in mind that you will have to climb the mountain each time you return to the hotel. It can be a bit difficult.
I really liked the room, it was very cozy and bright and with a beautiful view. The balcony was simply huge, I can imagine how beautiful it is here in the summer. Moreover, the room was clean and very quiet.

GermanyIt is obvious that the Corona time has hit the hotel industry hard and some savings had to be made, which means that you do not get slippers any more, there is no pencil or paper available in the room to make notes and there are no Kleenex in the room which I expect to get in a 4 star hotel. Also the breakfast is not so rich as it used to be. But the food is freshly made, it tastes well so no reason to complain. It offers a good start to the day!
We have been in this hotel already but before the Corona times. The hotel is still very nice with great swimming pool and friendly staff. The Java Massage Salon is a perfect place of relaxation and offers really valuable services.

AustraliaOriginally we did not get our room and upgrade promised by booking.com, and it was very disappointing. Instead of looking at the panorama of the city from upgraded room with a terrace, we got a cheaper room with a small balcony in the adjoined building that looked at a carpark and dilapidated old house. This was rectified for our second night when we insisted on our promised upgrade. Staff moved us to the main building to upgraded room with city views and a terrace. This was beautiful.
Beautiful view from the main building, breakfast had a great selection of food and it was close to the main colonnade and singing fountain.

Czech RepublicDuring our stay at the spa hotel, it would have been nice to have complimentary slippers available. Unfortunately, we didn't bring our own, so we ended up wandering the halls in robes and sneakers :D. Additionally, we found that our mini-bar was empty, and it was a bit of a complication to order items from the hotel café and bring them back to our room. Lastly, the coffee at breakfast wasn't to our liking. However, these were all minor issues, and overall, our stay was fantastic.
We had a pleasant experience with the hotel staff who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The hotel's design was lovely and our room was pretty too. Being located directly above the city center, we enjoyed a breathtaking view from our balcony. We were grateful for the free access to the pool, steam room, and gym, which we took advantage of during our stay. Although the breakfast was not extraordinary, it was still decent.

IsraelIt's 4**** Hotel, Spa, Resort. You would expect service according stars, but, in my opinion, it does not. It is advertised on Internet, that personal speaks four languages, Czech, German, Russian, English. Only two people in entire place, do not count Director of Royal Hotel, I spoke briefly, one in a Spa area and reception spoke English. Mostly Czeh and German. Hardly I understood their broken Russian. Jacuzzi in Spa/Pool area did not work some days. Breakfast I had only, was very poor in choice. Room was not equipped with tea/coffee Kettle, so when you tried to take boiling or cold water from restaurant, was told it is against restaurant rules, not allowed. Most personal had grim, carry not friendly faces, though they all tried to help you. At the conclusion I would like to warn people who have problem walking, young or old. Hotel location is on a hill, very nice view from top of it, looking down. To get down to center, is easy and fast enough, it take about10 min., but to go up the hill, you better be healthy enough and ready to go up the hill which was hard. Daily, I was taking taxi back to Hotel, which cost between 5-8 euro, depends on a taxi driver. At the end of my observation of this Hotel, I stayed for 12 days, on a good note, I want to commend two people one at reception lobby is Miluse Sebakova, and other I believe, manager of restaurant, Jacob Vinter. It was really pleasure to see their pleasant, friendly faces to be ready to help. That's about all.
I rather say what I did not like, because it is more important for people/travelers/patients.
