Breakfast could have had more vegan and gluten-free options but this is really just a tiny thing and I don't expect this anyway. And if that's all there is to say about what could have been better, that says a lot about the excellence of this hotel.

The hotel was easy to find, has an amazing location and a very friendly staff. It's also very interesting to learn about the history of this house and a copy of the book "Das weiße Haus am Rhein" was available in the room which I was really happy about. The beds were really comfortable. We didn't get a chance to sit outside since the weather wasn't that good yet but I imagine this location to be even more amazing in summer. But still, having breakfast here with such a beautiful view of the Rhein was nonetheless spectacular. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was a bit chaotic and we didnt knew if we had to wait to be seated, also there werent enough tables for the breakfast guests. Later on guests could also use the concert room for breakfast so that was solved professionally.

Beautiful location on the borders of the Rhein. Close to Bonn city centre(by car 15 minutes), Koningswinter and Schloss Drachenfels. Friendly, correct staff at reception and we had a nice spacious room with a water bowl for our dog. You can park in front of the hotel or in the underground carpark.

The evening I stayed there they were preparing the restaurant for some event and, even though the hotel bar was open, most of the time there was nobody there to order from.

The hotel is located in a nice suburb of Bonn, right on the river Rhine so there is a beautiful view from the breakfast room and from the rooms facing the water. There are some public transport stations nearby, but the main train/tram station connecting to the city is a bit far. The room (double) and bathroom were clean and spacious. The staff was always nice and helpful. Excellent breakfast, with many options for cold and hot foods. Although it is an old building, it is well maintained and the furniture is quite modern. I appreciated the good availability of power sockets throughout the room and close to the bed.

The 'ordinary' coffee in the morning was terrible, but I ordered specialty coffee (cappuccino) which was good. But it felt a bit as if they raised their eyebrows on this. I didn't dare to try the restaurant, as it has pretty mediocre Google reviews (even the receptionist recommended a different restaurant nearby :-)) I went to the sauna for free which, as they don't have one themselves, was in a different club, but that was quite a disappointment - it was pretty far (by bike) and there was effectively only one sauna crammed with elderly men. Nice though that they packed a complete sauna bag for me!

Wonderful 'grand' hotel with a long history and a lot of traditional glamour. The room was really large and the bed was very good. The reception staff made you feel welcome. Very quiet location and that it is right next to the Rhine is terrific. Super easy to rent a bike at the hotel for 10 EUR / day, I did everything on the bike! The value for money was good, I thought.

Sadly, room smaller than expected. Bathroom clean, but disappointing shower. Everything a bit worn out and old. Old carpet. Fridge didnt work. Room very simple, but ok. Had expected more. Overall 7n 11 it was ok, but not exceptional. Good breakfast.

Because it is an old building (which is gorgeous) you could hear EVERYTHING while in the room. Especially people going up and down the stairs and walking in hallway.

The hotel probably was a 4 star in the past. It would benefit some renovation, most of it is old and outdated. The breakfast was OK, but it was nowhere near a 4 star breakfast.

The room’s tiny window looked at a wall and a staircase. The staff kindly gave me another room but also noted “you booked this room category” - so be careful when you book. Yes, I remember “courtyard view” picture with some green outside, I sure thing didn’t expect that wall and staircase only. Strong smell of urine in the carpeted elevator.

My room was next to the staff staircase and over the kitchen, and between the hours of 4am to 23:30, it was very loud with doors banging and running up and down the stairs. Other rooms would not have this issue.

Very beautiful hotel in a wonderful location on the Rhein. Breakfast had both hot and cold options. Overall a wonderful hotel.

It’s not so convenient if you take baby stroller as the big gate has three or four stairs, and some rooms don’t have lift, they do have lift, but some rooms need to walk two part of stairs to be there, so not “so convenient “ for baby strollers.

I have booked one comfort room with Rhein River view, and I was there in autumn, the view outside the window is amazing, the yellow leaves on the tree, the colorful flowers on the balcony and the boat/ferry which passed through the river made it as a painting of nature.

The showerhead is definitely overzealous in saving water, which makes showering longer and less pleasant. When checking out, their POS terminal refused my Visa Debit card, so I had to pay with Google Wallet instead. Later I received an email from my bank that the transaction was declined because the merchant doesn't comply with the PSD2 regulation.

This is a traditional hotel with a turn-of-the-century vibe. It's directly on the bank of Rheine. Even if your room has a view only to the inner courtyard, you can enjoy the panorama from the restaurant. I found the bed very comfortable. Two pillows of different size are given so that you can decide which one suits you the best. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast is awesome, wide selection of quality food in buffet stile.

The costumer service was pretty dismal. They really didn’t go out of their way to help at all. For example I asked about their menu quite a few times for dinner ( as we were travelling with kids) and was told the only food they served was cold road beef or club sandwich. I noticed people next to me eating a different meal. I asked and they showed me the menu which was available to them. I enquired and was told that to get access to that menu I needed to have booked dinner in advance. At no point was I advised about this on my multiple questioning of the reception staff.

The setting was spectacular. The rooms were big and they provided a cot and spare bed free of charge. The actual hotel is pretty but in need of upgrading.
