Very comfortable nights sleep after a long drive. Hotel is situated on a main road and easily accessed. Great breakfast. Staff were very pleasant.

This was my fourth stopover at Frauenstein, there are other properties in the area, but I prefer this one. There's nothing that I dislike (apart from the traffic on the road).

The dinner menu is tasty, simple German food and is good value. Breakfast is ample - if leave hungry it's your fault, not theirs! There's a path to woods behind the property which are excellent for dog walking. Comfortable room with ample hot water/pressure in the shower. The heating was on as well. The rooms are reasonably soundproof - I normally wake up several time a night and it was no different here.

The road noise however, by about 8ish it quietened down, so didn't impact on sleep.

Handy on the side of the road when travelling. The flip side of this there was some road noise. The food was excellent, and a good and plentiful selection at breakfast.

There was nothing that I disliked.

It's alongsidethe main road so it is easy access (good), but there is some traffic noise. Our room was soundproofed and with the windows closed was fairly quiet. The menu is simple with meat, fish and vegetarian options. Breakfast is GOOD!

Ideal location for us. Pleasant friendly staff. Lovely room with 4 poster bed. Good choice of well cooked local dishes and plentiful breakfast.

Staff a little bit off hand upon arrival, but think it was just so busy. They were more helpful later.

wifi only working at seemingly one spot at the hotel, but help from the staff to get it going was OK. Parking sufficient, but could use a bit of (automatic?) lightning as in the night it was really dark.

I like strong coffee at breakfast, this was not. However, I didn't mention it at the time because it was not important. There is a busy main road outside which did not affect my sleep, but leaving the car park to travel to/beyond Pirmasens might require some patience.

When I arrived the dining room was very busy, mostly people from nearby. The menu was simple, the food was excellent. Lots of hot water in the shower and good water pressure! Breakfast was substantial.

Excellent location, and the staff were great. Our motorbikes were locked away in a garage which was fantastic. Food was nice and the beer was lovely.

Other guests 3-5 ppl were partying in hallway until 11:45 when I told them that other people try to rest. Also the stairs weren’t dog proof. Marple and therefore slippery for dog. Also rain shower head wasn’t working. The hotel is so close to the road that you can’t leave the window open do to traffic and noises from kitchen.

The bedroom very comfortable and heavenly looking. Nice lamps. Very friendly staff and cautious.

This is our fifth time in this beautiful apartment and our eighth time in Frauenstein over the years. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and food. Great location to walk to Hinterweidenthal and the devils table.

Nothing, Am Frauenstein is still excellent value for money, but it's not just about cost, it really is a good place to eat & stay.

Having stayed here for 30 years now, it is still good to know that standards are as high as ever. Food is excellent, rooms are comfortable. Recommend the steaks, I have never had better! The trout is good as well. Looking forward to our return visit in 2 weeks time on return journey.

Booked this for my parents who were traveling and needed a stop on the way. They were delighted by the quality of this place. Also friendly reception which isn't always the case when staying only one night.
