No coffee machine no in-room fridge. As always in La Rambla there are pushy vendors and solicitors. If approached just say "no molesto" do not add "por favor" as they will see it as an opportunity to push their solicitation. Dont be mean, just firm.

The place is a bit on the old side however i took the savings and spent it on stuff I did want. Close to the metro. The staff were friendly and accomodating. Plenty of eating places nearby. Near La Rambla and other parks and beach. I was there for a 10 spanish class. Would stay again BTW laundry 4 minute walk La Wash, Carrer del Correu Vell, 7, Ciutat Vella, 08002 Barcelona, Spain Bring euros 7 for the wash 3.50 dry

Walls are super thin you can here even snoring from the next room. The staff wont see a lot of effort to make your stay better. The area is sketchy in the night but thats Gothic Corner everywhere.

Well you get what you pay for as Its the cheapest rooms in the center. Rooms are clean and comfy enough. If you not looking for anything fancy, only a place to stay, is perfect.

There isn't anything I didn't like, but I guess, if I had visited during a high season, I wouldn't be comfortable with the extensive noise that could potentially come from the street or the other guest rooms.

Definitely value for money, when you look for a good room in the most central location during this period. A big thank you to the cleaning team that always went above and beyond and had daily everything spotless, filled up, and refreshed (like shower towels). I particularly enjoyed it because it was an off-season period and it wasn't busy in the area and the centre. Super convenient if you are into arts and culture, as the location makes it convenient for anyone who wants to explore the city, the museums and the rest of the cultural landmarks, as well as be close to the nightlife or the beach for a quick dive. Nearby there are so many places to choose from for drinks and food along with a couple of mini-markets, literally for anything that you need, especially if you spend the whole day out in the streets, the last thing you want to do is walk for hours to get even a bottle of water.

Love how close it is to everything in the gothic quarter

The place is got a lot of potential and pretty clean for a shared space if you get it for the right price. Unfortunately, when I booked my stay you could only book 4 nights and I needed 3 so I booked it fully content with paying for the extra day and having the room if I needed it but I was contacted by the venue after telling them the time of check in (they ask) and after literally 10 emails they canceled my reservation and made me rebook for three days resulting in me spending MORE money to do so. I told them multiple times I wanted to keep my original reservation and kept updating my credit card info but they cancelled anyway. It was stressful and unnecessary but I I would have had to change all my plans at this point if I changed my stay. There was definitely a language barrier so when I got there there was no explaining or changing the outcome. I did not expect a lot but for $198 ($66 per night) it wasn’t absolutely terrible deal but when you consider you share bathroom, there is no tv and only have a small very uncomfortable cot (dorm size) in a room that very much smells musty or moldy, it’s not really worth it for the money when you can get a bnb for around the same price with actual amenities.

Lived in a room with a private bathroom and it was totally value for money! Exactly as expected, would recommend it for the price! The hostel and room were clean, reception was 24/7, super polite and they kept safe our luggages after check-out on special lockers. My trip was in January and the room was nice & warm, so we loved it. There is a fan on the ceiling, so no aircondition, therefore double confirm that if you're traveling in the summer. Location is key at Gotic, quite a touristic area, I guess it can be noisy during the summer. In January with their soundproof windows, we didn't face any issues.

Only problem it was really noisy during nights, both inside of hostel and street. Also there were only two bathrooms on floors, was an issue in the mornings.

The stairs were a challenge with multiple pieces of luggage but otherwise not bad.

It was clean and a good size space. I was able to relax and be comfortable. The decor was nice as well.
