The towels could be cleaner. There was some noise during the night, probably because of the location of the hostal. Also, there was some problem with the a/c but we didn't need it, so we didn't ask for it to be fixed.

Heating system made noise during the night (even though I don't think it was operating). Night lighting in room was a little too bright. Fourth floor was a minor inconvenience.

Great location. Lots of amenities and little touches - candies and a satchel of instant coffee. Good wifi and a small table to work at. Nice and quiet. Would stay here again. Could come and go with little interaction with anyone.

Best option to stay in the centre. Everything is very very clean, the staff are incredibly polite, the rooms are cosy. There is a kettle and microwave in the room. Highly recommended!

Very rude staff. Uncomfortable room, due to the lack of sound proofing, I had the hear next door’s snoring throughout my stay, I woke up in the middle of the night and could not get back to the sleep because of this snoring was very annoying. Very little room and micro bathroom impossible to move around under the shower. Location is very central but there were prostitutes in front of the building late at night.

I would have liked the shower head to have been positioned at the top and not loose, it was difficult for me to shower but it was not a determining factor.

Communication at times could be interesting as the grasp of English was not very good. But then I don’t expect people to come to my country and speak my language.

The Hostal is in a fantastic area of Madrid, just off Gran Via. It’s So easy to get to all the attractions. Very close to the gay area. The room was very clean and tidy. The lift was very much a good thing as the Hostal is on level 4. Staff were very helpful

Minor thing but multiple keys per room would have helped our group as difficult to gain access separately....kes needed for street door, door to reception and room.

Very good and central location. The room was small but cozy, clean and well furnished. There is also a kettle with tea and coffee , a small fridge and a microwave. The receptionist were really friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again!

There was no option for a cot and even though there is a lift, still there are stairs to access the rooms which could be a problem for people with reduced mobility.

The location is excellent. Very central. The place was super clean. Fresh smell in the bed shit. Staff is super friendly. I love that we could connect Netflix on the Tv and that there was a mini fridge/ kettle and microwave in the room.

Communication with the staff. I had to check in online before because I was arriving when reception was closed, but the website for this check-in wasn't working. So far so good, these unexpected things can happen... The problem was the reception's reaction when I informed them of the problem. They didn't want to solve it and kept telling me to follow the steps on a website that didn't work! I spent almost a day repeating the obvious to someone at reception, and all they said was that they couldn't do anything about it. So that was it: I was going to arrive in Madrid late at night, and I couldn't get into the hostel because the check-in website wasn't working. Luckily, the next day, someone decided to check the website and they saw that it really wasn't working. They fixed it, told me to try again, and then I was able to do the check-in. A problem that could have been solved in half an hour if the staff had stopped to listen about a problem with their system when I first told them...

The location of the Hostel. It was very easy to reach places like bakeries, restaurants, bars, tourist places, etc. The room was very clean and I had everything I needed for my stay.

Excellent location, comfortable place, on the 4 floor but with a lift, clean, bright room, air-condition and fan, tea/ coffee facilities plus even a microwave in the room. The room is tiny, but the beds are comfortable. Easy to check in, friendly staff.

The staff was if not rude then not particularly welcoming, making sure to communicate with all means possible that they would rather not have you there. Horrible check-in process requiring opening links and filling some forms from Whatsapp messages. Sound isolation is already almost non existent, and the staff slamming the doors all the time from the very morning does not really help. There was also a safe in the room, for which you needed to spend 1 euro each time you would open it. 1 Euro is not much money, but the projected cheapness of the owners is astonishing.

There was no kitchen nor any kind of dishes, just one tea cup. So better to eat outside or pack some forks or spoons with you. But there was an electric kettle and little fridge, and even a microwawe.

For the price and location, the room was more than enough! You even have a shower and a sink the room. It's near all the main objekts, so you can walk easily around.
