How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I was surprised the wardrobe in the room was two small for two people.
Room was absolutely normal, like any other. Comfy bed, table, clean bathroom. Everything you need for couple of days. Rich continental breakfast - flakes, pastry, ham, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, smashing eggs etc... It's out of the city center, the area is not crowded, but with everything you need - parks, restaurants and nearest metro station is 6 minutes walk. View from 10th floor was stunning.

Breakfast was always the same. Maybe some sweets could be change. Not enough of veggies of choice. For me it was missing of hand towel in the room. Also for toilet the toilet brush was missing.
Stuff was very nice. I liked view from room. Room was nice and clean. Also bathroom was clean and nice. Metro was 10 min far away.

The room was very hot and you can't control the temp other than opening your window. There isn't a fridge. During this trip was stayed in 4 airbnbs and 2 hotels. On my ranking of places we stayed this was 5/6. Number 6 was also a hotel. Apparently I prefer airbnbs.
I liked the view from our room. Having breakfast available was a convenient way to start the day.

If this is your first time in Barcelona I would prefer to stay closer to the center. The room was not very spacious but we didn't find this a big problem. Shower temperature was a bit inconsistent (cold/ very hot).
Nice stay overall. The room was confortable and very clean. Good view into the city skyline (glories and sometimes the sea). Although not very close to the city center it was less than 10min walk from 2 different metro stations (Fabra i Puig and Llucmajor) and it was easy to move around, it's also a safe area to do so at night. Good restaurants and other facilities nearby were very useful.

The elevator was slow. The hotel is far from the city center but there are 2 metros nearby.
Friendly staff. The breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable. Good value for money.

Scarce breakfast, looks like a cheap salad bar. Don’t even try the omelette, it’s terrible! Only black coffee available. On a request of cappuccino I was suggested to add milk to espresso. It’s not the same, but the girl didn’t know that((( One towel per person. One more to wipe the feet. No hand towel, no face cloth. Probably will be provided on request, but that’s just weird
Great location near metro station and in the middle of a shopping mall. Surprisingly quiet, considering. Parking nearby is also a definite bonus, having in mind difficulty to find a spot in Barcelona. Overall clean, friendly reception, nice rooms. Extra pillows provided quick and without question

At the bathroom was missing toilet brush which was kinda unpleasant.
It was a clean hotel. Breakfast was average but good. Stuff were speaking in English which was rare in Barcelona. Very good value/price ratio

Hotel is not right next to the big monuments of city so you must use taxi/metro/bus to get there but it was quite and peaceful there, not so many crowds of tourists. :)
Hotel room was clean, comfortable, the food they offered was also good. I’m most impressed by the people working there. :) Reception ladies were very kind, they helped me and explained to me how to get to the places l wanted to visit and were always smiling. Also the lady working at the restaurant next to lobby was amazing she served and joked with out company whole night. Would chose this hotel next time l go to Barcelona again for sure! Prices were reasonable for what they offered. :)

The room was a little bit narrow for 3 people
The location was very well: 10 minutes walk from the nearest metro station, but bus station is only 2 minutes The breakfast was amazing, lot of local and international food were available. The room was very clean and comfortable

There was old climate system in the room. It worked loud and air was dry & not fresh enough, but it was fine for one night stay. Also pillows were thick for me, but it is very individual.
Everything was great for price I paid except air in the room. Friendly stuff, good enough breakfast and long one - till 11:30. Great location - near malls & relatively close to historical center.
