How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

That they only have 2 stars. They are deserving of another
Absolutely delightful owners. Very accommodating of my basically non existent Spanish. Room was clean, well maintained & honestly left me wondering how they're only 2 stars & not at least 3. I would recommend then to friends & family, not only to you, the reader

I love this hotel, so good I booked a second night! Warm welcome upon arrival with easy check in. Well appointed room with immaculate bathroom and furnishings. Ideally placed for supermarket, bars and restaurants. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Castejon de sos was simply on our way with nothing to recommend it, we needed somewhere to stay and picked this place it’s a small hotel, unusual in its layout that a few rooms are duplexes or even triplexes. ours was such with a large living area + kitchen on the first floor, bedroom + shower on the second and 2 kids beds in a gallery level (we didn’t need or use those). the kitchen was more than a kitchenette , was well stocked equipment-wise, and we used it to prepare a full breakfast. the staff made up in friendliness and eagerness to help what they lacked in English. would also add that although street noise isn’t an issue anyway in these tiny towns at night, this place is set well back from the street and is very very quiet, excellent for light sleepers.

The breakfast was great! It was very convenient to breakfast at the hotel before full days of hiking. Everything was delicious and plentiful. We loved the big mugs of hot coffee and homemade cake.

Central location. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Off road parking for our motorbikes. The hosts are very friendly and multi lingual. The home baked cake was delicious.

A help yourself basis for the breakfast would have made it more relaxing - for both guests and hosts. However, due to the COVID situation the host had to bring what we wanted item by item to the table. I would stress that one got more than one wanted and we most definitely did not leave the breakfast feeling hungry!! Whilst it’s not a negative (some would see it as a big positive), Castejon de Sos is a small village so might not suit someone looking for a vibrant location with extensive night time entertainment possibilities.
The room was very large and well laid out, making it very easy and comfortable to use. The bed and bathroom were both very good.not that we used it, but the bath seemed to be a jacuzzi-capable one. The decoration was to a very high standard and had been quite skilfully undertaken in a traditional ~1930s style. This made sure that the hotel did not feel like a bland, standardised branded offering. The breakfast was a very nice, high quality continental offering. There was good off road parking and the hotel was right in the centre of the (rather small) village. The hosts were very nice snd helpful. The village has a few bars and restaurants- the one in Hotel Pirineos was very good value: a very reasonable 3 course meal with wine, bread and water was €12 per person. Very good walking is available in the area - we drive to the top of the Benasque Valley (20-30m by car) and had an excellent circular walk in amazing high mountain scenery.

Everything was excellent, if they want to go extra mile tea and coffee in the room would be a bonus for tea in bed when you wake up.

Hard to fault really. A kettle in the room would be nice, though you could get a tea from the reception. The breakfast starts at 8am - it would be nice if it could offered from 7am.
Fantastic little hotel, perfect for a week stay in the Pyrenees. Rooms are very spacious and the place was incredibly clean. The owners are super friendly and they assisted and advise us whenever we need it.
