“Very well presented and clean house with lovely host (Alexei). Our room was very comfortable, and the village very beautiful. Alexei told us they have facilities for bike cleaning and storage so it would be a great base for cycle touring in the area. There’s a small pool and outdoor area… too cold in March for a dip though! The area around Cesserras is stunning… gorges, vineyards, ancient villages full of history. We will definitely return one day.”

Rene and Conny were wonderful hosts and have created a relaxing environment in a beautiful old chateau in the town on Cesseras. Sensitively restored, with a combination of modern conveniences and original features.
Rene has that gift of always appearing when we needed something, never to be seen when we didn't!
He also gave great suggestions on local villages, restaurants, walking trails and attractions.
We visited many of the local attractions - particularly loved the walks around Minerve and the gorge.
Cesseras is a wonderful little village and Chateau Marcel is the perfect base for exploring the region.”
