The decor was outdated, a step back in time b n b from the 1980’s.

The property was comfortable and clean with everything that you need. The sea view was outstanding.

(minor point) Whatever room 9 faces has, I would guess, security lights that are triggered at night. (Foxes? Cats? Branches blowing in the wind?) Thicker curtains would keep the light out.

Only drawback was having to park behind the hotel and carry luggage down a number of steps to the door.

Only downfall and this is not a criticism was the steep steps,that should be made aware of on the booking prior,anyone with difficult mobility like myself and my wife struggled,but adding to this Maria will make sure that every possibility to help will be made i.e when we arrived and parked at the rear of the building she made sure we could access through a room on the first floor with our luggage which i was so appreciative of and when we were leaving she offered the same access to the car park,There was also porta cabins based on Caley Promenade for workmen which spoilt the view slightly but that was not the properties fault,it was the councils fault as promenade refurbishment was under way.

Maria and Mildred were excellent hosts,very attentive to detail and the service was excellent,The breakfast was superb,we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves,the view was superb of the seaview room and there was plenty of storage space in the room,Overall We would highly recommend a stay at this excellent establishment

Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked, my wife had porridge which she rated one of the best and served with maple syrup! Freshly brewed tea, and an excellent choice of cereals and fresh fruit.

Regrettably, it was difficult to flush the W.C. (you had to do it with more strength). The host was very kind and tried to help us regarding that. But also, there is no nice smoking smell in the room. Apparently, previously, some people didn't follow the rule to not smoke in the room.

The host was kind and welcoming. She was available to help and orient us if we needed something or some help regarding the city. We had a spacious room with a nice view of the sea. The bed is comfortable. You have a sofa and closet, a chest of drawers for clothes. Also, they provide towels, some coffee, milk, tea and biscuits. The breakfasts also were really nice, and the staff ask everyday what do you want to eat for the next day.

The location would have been great with the beach just across the road but for the construction works going on to improve the promenade by the local council. limited restaurants for evening dinning in the local area but a 20 minute bus ride puts this right

Had booked a car space during booking which wasn’t available on arrival,would have been a bigger problem only for the free parking available close by.

The breakfast choices were very good and catered for all needs,the location right in front of the beach was excellent as were all the staff,had a great time
