The mattress on bed was comfy but you desperately need new pillows. Old, hard and lumpy, this made it uncomfortable to sleep for me. Other than that it was fine.

Loved the set out of the cottage, it was clean and well furnished. Perfect for 2 couples. We knew there was no garden or outdoor area but we were out allot of the time anyway so that suited us.

The cottage is clean, comfortable & well equipped. Great location - well situated for exploring Bakewell with lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance. Plenty of attractions nearby such as Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and the walking the Monsal Trail.

    Have no complaints whatsoever!

Cottage was comfortable and welcoming - it retained its history, but had modern facilities, which enhanced our overall experience there. Very well located - and within walking distance of Bakewell.

Did not, not like anything about the property. Bakewell has no taxi or Uber service for elderly mother.

Well equipped, great welcome basket, the tea bags saved us!! Location near to town, up hill on way back.

There was nothing we did not like about the cottage.

A wonderful cottage, only a few minutes walk from the centre of Bakewell. The cottage was very clean and very well appointed with everything you might need for a stay. Parking directly outside the cottage was a big bonus, and communication from the owner was always easy, quick, and friendly. Would very happily stay here again and recommend it to others.

I realize this is not something the owners could improve, but the traffic noise and traffic density directly outside the front door was the only real drawback to the property.

Nice modernisation of a quaint old cottage. Good en-suite bathrooms.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The property is well situated with a stroll down hill to the town centre and everything you need for a great stay.. The walk back is fine if you just take your time. It has a welcoming, comfy and cosy feel. Very clean and nicely decorated. Everything you needed was right there. There was even a small court yard which we sat in enjoying a glass of wine one evening during our stay. Chatsworth House and Heights of Abraham within 10 min drive.

Only thing was the pubs and cafes get quite busy. We had a baby and dog with us which ruled some places out for lunch/ dinner and so we struggled to get in for dinner and lunch on 2 occasions!! We should have booked really...so we’d recommend if visiting Bakewell at busy spells to book places to eat in advance!

Lovely cottage with everything you need for a weekend away. Nice and spotlessly clean too. Anne cottage is in a great location just a stones throw from the centre of Bakewell which has lots of shops, places to eat and some green spaces too. Perfect getaway 😊
