How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything about the apartment was perfect. The decor was outstanding - felt like a 5 star home away from home. Lita was an amazing hostess - helpful and friendly and over extended herself to make us comfortable.

The host seems to have thought of everything to make guests comfortable - we really felt thoroughly at home during our short stay. City centre accessible via a nice walk along banks of the River Ness.

Absolutely nothing.
Absolutely superb apartment with an extremely friendly and generous host. We received very clear instructions well before arrival on how to access the apartment. We needed secure space for our bikes. Lita met us at the apartment to park the bikes. The layout, decor and cleanliness of the apartment were second to none. And Lita had stocked the kitchen and bathrooms with many, many useful consumable items - over and above anything we would have expected.

This beautifully decorated, cozy, and impeccably maintained apartment was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The kitchen was fully equipped and even included a generous selection of breakfast items and drinks which was such a thoughtful touch. I can't recommend this apartment enough!

The apartment is so comfy and welcoming. Extras were so thoughtful and appreciated. The location was perfect for us as we were attending an athletics comp at the nearby track but we enjoyed a lovely walk along river into town on both days.

The apartment was comfortable, well equipped and clean. There was fresh bread, milk etc on arrival. The apartment is in a quiet spot with a lovely river walk into Inverness centre. A good journey break for a couple of nights to explore Inverness before travelling further North.

Location is very good. About 15 minutes walk from the town, very quiet location but convenient. The apartment is very nicely furnished and stylishly and artistically decorated, rooms and beds very comfortable. Cooking facilities and utensils good. The whole apartment was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Host responded promptly to any request, caring and helpful. Also provided copious amounts of various snacks & drinks and quality toiletries.

Everything was perfect
It was an absolute delight to stay in this apartment. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. A lot of thought has gone into the presentation. There was bread and milk, as well as numerous other supplies. There was no need to rush to the shops to get provisions. In addition, the apartment is located in a beautiful quiet location, with an easy 20min walk to the city centre along the river.

Absolutely beautiful apartment. Very spacious ,clean, comfortable and in a quiet location. Surrounded by a beautiful garden,where we spotted a red squirrel scurrying around. A flat stroll by the river into Inverness city. Those who may find the walk too far it's on a bus route. What makes this apartment stand out was the attention to detail from the hosts .The little extras. They were so attentive so we would never worry if we ever needed anything. Could not fault anything. Lita was an excellent host! The apartment was spacious and beautiful. The location was in a quiet neighborhood close to pubs and restaurants. We are 2 couples traveling together and were able to spread out yet still have our privacy. Loved this place!
