When we booked, we booked a twin bed room. We were upgraded, which we massively appreciated, but the upgraded room was a king bed and sofa bed. There was no extra bedding for the sofa bed so we called down to Reception. They brought up the extra bedding 20 minutes later and asked when we made this request as they couldn't see it on the booking. We explained about the upgrade and that we didn't know we'd need extras, the staff seemed a bit off-put by this but didn't query us further. The upgrade was great but didn't reflect the bed preferences that we originally booked.

My friend and I stayed for her birthday and we were unexpectedly upgraded to a family suite, and given 2x free drinks vouchers for the bar downstairs. The room was spacious and equipped with lots of amenities and freebies which we really appreciated. It was conveniently located right beside Tower Hill station and bus stops, making it easy for accessing public transport. The staff were lovely and made this birthday stay extra special.

Pity one of the Lifts wasn't working. As in most hotels we could have used a little more milk.

Not only did we get a good deal but we also got an upgrade. The room was really spacious and we had a view of the Tower Bridge. We did really take advantage of the facilities because it was just a short trip but the gym looked pretty good.

Slow service in restaurant.

Value for money considering the excellent location. Friendly staff. Easy check in and able to store bags so we could continue with our day. Comfortable basic room that suited our needs. High level of cleanliness. Good breakfast at additional cost.

Excellent stay. The location of the hotel is just perfect near by everything and at the same time far from street noise. You can walk 2 min to the bus or the train station and 1 min walk to the London tower and the tower bridge. Since we had a small issue in the first room provided the hotel staff did immediately upgraded us to another room. Rooms are specious compared to other London hotels' rooms with excellent large and comfortable bed. Definitely back again!

2 out of 3 elevators (including the service elevator) where out of order which meant extremely long waiting times The maintenance of the toilet, sink etc was not up to par. They didn’t function very well which doesn’t befit this hotel

The only downside to this particular room was a fair amount of noise in the early hours from a nearby bar. I suppose that's to be expected in that area.

Excellent breakfast - paid for separately - with very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent range of foods. The room was large and comfortable and well equipped. Everything went very well - service in particular was exceptional. Thank you.

Quite noisy in the morning when other guests were having a loud conversation in the corridor with each other pre 7am! Could hear everything! The remote control in our room was quite dirty! Definitely needs cleaning, possibly an oversight.

The location was perfect for what we had planned and not far from an underground station. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, can’t fault them!

We booked 2 rooms as accompanied by friends. We paid exactly the same but although our room was clean and comfortable it was smaller than our friends room and had a tiny window.looking out onto a brick wall.Their room was at the front with a lovely view and huge window and a bigger bathroom.Thought it should be like for like as we paid the same amount for our stay.A little disappointed.

Couldn’t fault it

The hotel was so convenient just a few minutes walk from the tube, the room felt luxurious with slippers and dressing gown provided for our stay, we were celebrating my daughters 25th and the staff did an extra happy birthday plate with macarons which my daughter loved. Edwin the duck was also a great keepsake. We had a slight issue with our tv not connecting but after a call to reception it was sorted in 5 minutes. All the staff were lovely and helpful and made us feel very welcome and we will definitely return

The location was fantastic with lots to see within walking distance and close to the Aldgate tube. The hotel is lovely, modern and has great customer service. The room was very comfy with a great shower! The breakfast menu is extensive, book it as you do make a savings and it was all fresh and tasty.
