Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe music in the bar and restaurant was intrusive and not to everyone's taste. All the members of staff were polite, helpful and friendly but we did witness one member of staff, named Steve, tell one of the other staff members to go home and come back for the evening shift. He didn't ask him at all politely or give him any chance to reply. We thought it was a very unprofessional and disrespectful way to speak to someone, especially in front of guests.
Lovely clean and comfortable rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff - all of them bar one (see below) greeted us with a smile and engaged us in conversation. Beautiful views from the restaurant and bar and the rooms on one side of the hotel. Rooms were well equipped with everything you could need.

United KingdomA minor criticism, some of the tomatos on the hot breakfast offerings were a little cold.
The executive rooms are very spacious, staff were all friendly and courteous. The spa is delightful, so are the grounds. In my view this hotel lived up to the ratings given.

United KingdomThe bed was raised in the middle, felt like sleeping on a slight gradient. There were no plugs next to the bed to charge your phone overnight. The switches for the bed lights were far too high up the wall.
The spa was good. The pool, jacuzzi and Steam room were all as expected. The Sauna was not hot unfortunately. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel bar was okay.

United KingdomThe breakfast was disappointing and was an additional add on which we thought we had already catered for in our booking. Both a menu-ed breakfast and a buffet breakfast is provided. We did not try the menu-ed option. There is no hot chocolate option, which several guests noticed from the machine/ side. No hot chocolate provided in the room either. A lot of the coffee functions were not working at the time. The croissants were very small in size (although tasty).
Second stay here and very exceptional service for the price we paid. We stayed in a family room with our party of three and both beds were of a good standard. Bathroom as you'd expect, clean and spacious. The room was a little warm on arrival but we had a good sized window that could be opened outwards without any restrictive safety cap (but still safe). We used the spa whilst here which was very clean and well maintained. The saunas, showers and hot tub are a great addition to the pool, which has a beautiful view of the Malvern hills and well worth seeing. The spa has a long opening time (closing at 8) and we were able to make full use of this once we'd checked in. The busiest period was with the children's hour but it was a minor inconvience and still quiet when we arrived.

United KingdomI know most people would just do self-service at breakfast but I would have liked staff to come to the table to ask if you wanted the extra choice rather than having to go and find them.
Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast had a good choice and quality with options to have a selection that was not from self serve if you wanted it.

United KingdomOur room was an Executive suite, located on the ground floor. It seemed to suffer heavy traffic by other residents. when we booked this higher rated room, we kind of assumed that it would have been a little quieter. During our stay, both of us suffered from cramping stomach pains and also overheard other residents with the same complaints.
The room, and the way you had milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Also when asking reception about extra coffee pods they were so helpful and prompt, also asking reception of places to eat other than the hotel again very helpful. Accommodating my social anxiety in the restaurant made my stay more pleasant. The swimming pool was very clean and toasty warm. The receptionist in the spa on both days, very helpful. The jacuzzi both days it was so quiet, I had it to myself and this made it more special.

United KingdomThe place is quite run down and could use some love. The "spa" is not really a "spa," and the pool, in my case, was full of kids (normal with Easter holidays), so I could not swim even at 8 am in the morning. The breakfast was quite average, even though food could be ordered, it was not really possible.
It is great that everything is in the same place, treatment rooms, restaurant, golf... The treatments were great; I really enjoyed my massage and facial. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

United KingdomFamily room. Dated and basic. Mattress was uncomfortable and noisy. Could hear bathroom being used next door flushing of toilets, showers, etc, not a peaceful night sleep.
Lovely pretty hotel, the facilities were great. The only letdown was the family rooms. Very dated in need of a freshen up and just didn't feel anything special compared to the rest of the hotel, which was great. Spa and pool are really good, which were immaculate. Unfortunately, they were fully booked for any treatments, so I couldn't try those. I did mention it was my sons birthday trip they said they'd make it special for him, but no mention of a happy birthday so lacked what i feel other hotels would make an effort with just the acknowledgement would have made his day that little bit better. However, breakfast was amazing, such a variety, hot and tasty ! Staff were lovely also. Would stay again if im the area but upgrade as much as possible for the better rooms if within budget.

United KingdomThe only negative thing was the the portion size of my friends meal, it was humongous - there was so much mash and the sausages where huge, she could barely eat half. It was a bit overwhelming.
Room was clean and comfortable and it was my first time ordering room service and I wasn't disappointed - very nice food. Breakfast was nice - make sure you book in advance to make use of the discount. Spa was lovely - plenty of loungers to relax on. Pool was a little cold but refreshing and the room is so warm - its like being on holiday. The Garden room restaurant area and atmosphere was fabulous, there was an actual pianist in the corner playing away while we ate dinner which was nice.
