Nothing that I can think of apart from the dry chicken dish.

Location was good and set in nice grounds. Our room was in a separate building to the rear so very quiet. Decor very pleasant in deed. Check in staff were very nice and helpful. Beds were comfortable. We had a family room. Our son's bed was nice and our bed very comfy and clean. We had a meal in the restaurant which, apart from my son's chicken being very dry, was pleasant. All in all a nice place to stay. We didn't have breakfast as we had to be away very early, but the menu looked appealing.

The cooked breakfast

We stayed for two nights so therefore had two breakfasts. The cooked breakfast on the first morning was okay but the second cooked breakfast was very poor. The poached egg was hard and the bacon was burnt so disappointed

£50 early check-in fee. We didn't pay this, so had a meal in the pub instead which was lovely.

Room was so hot and the radiator was off so windows permanently open to counter that might of been the towel rad you couldn’t turn off in the bathroom

Don't know why the hot water is maintained to such an extraordinarily high temperature.

The step change improvement that we experienced last year has been maintained. That's good to see.

I had a lunch at the pub which was nice, the Aspall cider crisp. The room was clean, the bed comfy and the bathroom spotless. A few more milk and sugar would have been nice though

Nothing, really nice stay

Very large room, comfortable beds, all amenities provided. Nice pub/restaurant on site, which was good as the location was quiet (long walk into town). Very nice, helpful staff.

confusion about breakfast booked twin room with two guests but somehow only got one breakfast. Also no instructions how to work electric heaters in the room and it made ticking noise all night. Did report toilet seat broken but noone came to repair while we were there. Otherwise a very good place to stay.

The way the bar in the evening just closed without any warning, in the North we get a last orders notice, we were residents therefore expected better.

Disabled bathroom had no shelf for toothbrushes ,shaving bits etc , and housekeeping refreshed towels with only a set for 1 person

Could not find anything to dislike apart from the scrambled egg. Will have poached or fried. Next time.

The full English breakfast was excellent except for the scrambled egg that was very watery and no flavour. Maybe source a local free range supplier. Room was immaculately clean throughout.The bed was the most comfortable, had a really good nights sleep, woke really well rested.

Heating system made a constant pinging noise every hour or so (like air trapped) and the extractor fan runs for AGES after the light is turned off so it was quite noisy trying to sleep, especially as it is in a generally quiet area

Rooms have improved, nicely decorated with decent bathrooms and an actual double bed (not two singles shoved together). Restuarant was busy as it was burns night but the staff handled it really well, food was very nice as well.

Really noisy radiator on and off all night!!! Making high pitched squeeking sounds And the TV kept pixalating on a film and other channels then saying there was no aerial connection was a bit annoying

Clean, comfortable room with chocolates on the pillow, always a good welcome! Bathroom clean and functional and the tea facilities were excellent with plenty of choices. Milk alterative would make it perfect but we did not request them as we brought our own

Location was key as we were visiting family in the area. We had no need to use the dining facilities, but the room was very clean and quiet.
