Having only just arrived in Scotland, the road appeared challenging being a single lane. We've since learnt that the road was really quite good.

Diedre was very welcoming and was happy to share local knowledge. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was exquisite, a beautifully set table with fine china, crystal and fresh flowers. A full cooked breakfast with freshly made fruit smoothie and freshly brewed coffee. We had booked as a stop over, but wished we could have stayed longer. Very tranquil and relaxed environment. Loved the antique furniture. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at Blarcreen. Everything was perfect; the house, Deirdre and Vito, the food, the wine and of course the surroundings. We couldn’t of wished for a warmer welcome. The only negative was only being there for one night!

Blacreen is a wonderful place hosted by a friendly woman. The home made breakfast is delicious and the house carefully decorated. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Nothing, it was perfect!

Incredible property and setting. Very relaxing and peaceful with amazing wildlife on show. The hosts were so lovely, friendly and welcoming. They also provided a number of fantastic suggestions for things to do in the area. Will certainly be returning for a longer stay.

Loved the old style country house and decor with a sitting room full of books and a wood burning stove. The breakfast was the highlight of the day along with spectacular views overlooking Loch Etive . We enjoyed a nice walk up to the Ardochattan Priory and next time would like too walk beyond Bonawe. The hostess ( Deirdre) recommeded a trip to the island of Luing which we throughly enjoyed.

Wish we'd had more time to spend there.

Deidre and Ivanna were lovely and really look after their guests! You can tell they really care about their guests and want to spoil them. Lovely rooms, deer, sheep and cows outside the windows, chickens in the yard. Very idyllic! The breakfast was lovely, especially the smoothie with home-grown berries :)

Disappointed with breakfast. Non-vegans had options of salmon, kippers, eggs and which way, local meats. There were no options for us even though we paid the same amount. Suggestions - smashed avocado, scrambled tofu, vegan haggis. Cannellini beans were lovely but we had to request. No vegan spread available.

Beautiful accommodation, comfortable and excellent location. Warm and friendly welcome. Views from bedroom and dining room. Relaxing and quiet stay, away from the hustle and bustle of life. Excellent coffee !

The house is located in a remote place surrounded by the sheeps, deers and cows of the neighbouring farms. The scenery is wonderful and so the building and its beautifully kept garden. The breakfast was super we felt very welcomed and I like the pets (cats, hens, rouster). We just wished we could have more time to stay there. Dear Deidre, David, Ivanka, thanks again for everything!

Not spending enough time there.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Blarcreen House. From the very start, the hosts Deirdre and David went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. Their thoughtful messages about dinner recommendations showed their considerate nature. They even took the initiative to reserve a table for us, anticipating our potential delay on our first night. The care didn't stop there. With our big hike up Ben Nevis planned, Deirdre prepared breakfasts in advance, showing a level of attentiveness that truly touched us. They even woke up early to ensure we were well-prepared for our adventure. And the breakfast Deirdre prepared on our last day was nothing short of amazing – a perfect blend of luxury, kindness, and ambiance that left us feeling pampered and grateful. The house itself has breathtaking landscapes - a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and natural beauty. The house’s attention to detail is evident in every aspect of your stay. This was truly a destination that immerses you in the majesty of the Scottish Highlands. The experience was nothing short of extraordinary, and it's safe to say that we're eagerly looking forward to our next visit to Blarcreen.
