    Nothing.

Everything, the apartment is equipped with everything you need, right down to shower gel, biscuits (shortbread of course!) And washing powder. I've stayed before and will definitely book again. Location is fabulous, next to bus and train stations and shopping centre with loads of restaurants. The owner couldn't be more helpful.

I had a little trouble with front door key. How to twist it just the right way.

The bed was fantastic! Owner had coffee, tea, milk, cookies and croissants waiting for me which was a great plus. Great location across from train station and bus station, with grocery store on first floor. I arrived by train and took a couple bus tours so great location. Washer/dryer very easy to use and quicker than most in UK.

Gill was so gracious. She left some snacks for us and allowed me to keep my bags in the apartment a bit longer while I dropped my nieces off at the airport in Edinburgh. The location can't be beat, and everything was clean and comfortable.

The location was great for our purposes: across from the train station, near restaurants and just upstairs from a small food store. Gil, the host, gave us a good orientation to the apartment, wifi, local restaurant recommendations, and maps. The kitchen was well-equipped, and included a washing machine, which we didn't need to use as we were at the beginning of our trip. There is a comfortable sofa for relaxing, and a table and chairs convenient for dining and setting up the laptop. The proximity to the train station became important on our departure morning: I was eating breakfast in my pajamas when I went online to check that our train was leaving on time. Instead I found that it was canceled. We had twenty minutes to pack, buy tickets and catch an earlier train, in order to get to Edinburgh in time for a booked tour.

Nostalgic Great Area - Lovely Host

    N/A

Let me start by saying I’m a very Nostalgic person when it comes to old architecture. The apartment is located in a building that is between 200 to 300 years old. Fisherman conducted their business in this area. The train station, union square, The Harbour and the bus station are directly across the street. Union Street is a short 5 minute walk. Sainsbury local is attached to the building. When you first walk into the building your greeted by the renovated entry with the old school staircase. Once you walk into the apartment your greeted by the entry way with and then the bedroom is to the left and the bathroom to the right. Then you walk Into the living room with it’s large windows. Then you keep walking into the kitchen which has been modernized. You have everything you need here. Washer/dryer combo, dishwasher, fridge and 5 burner cooktop. Gill left me brioche rolls and shortbread cookies. Plus all the coffee and tea you need. She also left packages of ICE for my Gin and Tonic. Each Room is tastefully done. Their flat screen TV’s in the living room and the bedroom. The couch is very comfortable and it does pull out. Their was more than enough storage. The wi-fi here is great and It has it’s own individual router. Gill was great, we stayed in constant contact till my arrival. She greeted me at the apartment and gave me some tips about the area. She and and the apartment get a 10 for me. You won’t be disappointed. I felt at home here.

Only thing is wish TV had Netflix. Some people might not like traffic outside but I enjoy being in the centre of everything.

Perfect location right by station and shops. Unlike many cities, the area round the station is not run down so very safe. Big apartment with lots of natural light, so good in this country. Double glazed and nicely designed. Everything available and Gill is lovely and kind.
