Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomI had trouble booking breakfast on arrival at hotel. I tried 3 times and was eventually told to book as room service. This was a shame as when food arrived it was luke warm and there was nowhere to eat it in the room comfortably. Food quality was really good though. I was also unsure if the soft drinks in the minibar were complimentary or not as there was no price list or description about this anywhere.
Hotel and facilities were lovely. Spa facilities were excellent.

United Arab EmiratesThe hotel feels quite casual not very luxe but considering it’s the highest rated hotel in Glasgow I booked it. It was good but not great. The room wasn’t cozy enough and the ac made clicking sounds at night. The staff however were very friendly.

BahrainOverpriced, I visited before the hotel changed to Kimpton and the breakfast and other amenities were included - breakfast buffet is basic without any drinks option and yet is charged at £23 per person. Staff quite abrupt at reception and focused on price of everything, I had asked to discreetly plan an anniversary surprise for my partner only to be confronted at check in with a request for payment for the in room Prosecco and pay upfront for additional breakfast - noting that the room itself was £348! That said spa and bar staff were very attentive and helpful, as were the consierge and other staff so perhaps an isolated incident. Definitely not good value for money as a hotel, and not five star hospitality.
