It's a rustic cottage, so don't expect everything to be new and renovated. Some appliances like the toaster are quite old. Like mentioned in other comments, the ceilings on the 2nd floor are low, but it's not a big issue for a short stay.

Very remote and quiet location (the nearest convenience shop is a ~20min drive). The kitchen is very well supplied comparing to other vacation homes, everything was clean and the wi-fi worked perfectly. The beds were comfortable and the heating system worked fine as well.

While beautiful, it was odd. Hard to explain, but definitely not for tall individuals. Upper floor (sleeping quarters) has a very low ceiling, so anyone over 6'0 would have an uncomfortable experience (we were all under 5'3 and could touch the ceiling). In the bathroom downstairs, the mirrors were set at a height for very tall people. Note: there is a woman's grave in the backyard. FYI, as it may cause discomfort for some travelers. If I had known any of these things in advance, I would still have stayed at this location. It was still a comfortable place for the 3 of us.

The old home was beautiful and the surrounding area was amazing. The area was extremely quiet and great for a couple looking to get away.

It is away from any trails or facilities, and the roads are in bad condition in spring across whole of Skye. The remote location is both an advantage and disadvage though, depends on what you look for.

The cottage is authentic and fit for a family to stay in. Well equiped, spacious enough, very clean, well heated and we made use of the lovely fireplace every night.
