The stairs to our room, a bit steep for the suitcase, so just took what we needed from the car and carried up the stairs to our room.

Lovely garden setting with wonderful views of the valley and hills from our bedroom window, loved the bird feeder that attracted many different birds. Fabulous breakfast cooked by Lisa and plenty of variety. Good parking and easy walking distance to the town for restaurants and hotel dining.

We have a suggestion that applies to all hotels. Elderly people need good lighting. It was impossible for us to read by any of the lighting available at the hotel.

A delightful stay. Hosts were superb. Nothing too much trouble. Very easy going. Lovely comfy spacious room, Nice seating area with table & lamp under the window. Went on a golfing hol, There was plenty of space in room for all my clothes & clubs {when i needed to dry them off after rainy day on course}. breakfasts were delightful. Super garden views from our room. my wife and I enjoyed watching the birds & squirrels on the feeders in the well maintained gardens - from our room and in the breakfast room which has nice panoramic windows from which you get great views of the valley, as the property is on high ground. Fantastic morning mists. Definitely plan to stay here again next time we're visiting the area

The Breakfast at Borthwen was lovely with a great choice of items Rooms were spotless bed comfy and decorated to a high standard loved the shower No problem parking our car which is something some BaBs dont have Great location can walk into town and nicely placed to visit attractions Colin and Lisa were fantastic hosts happy to answer any questions we had

Being really picky and I do mean it because I'm used to a super king at home, the bed could have been larger than a standard double

Warm welcome from the owners who were more than happy to share information about the local area but without being over bearing. The room was very clean and modern. The views over looking the valley and birds on the feeders made breakfast very relaxing. Good choice at breakfast with the full English being which is freshly made to order

Everything amazing! Room and ensuite spotless. Bed very comfortable. Two chairs in the room was a great bonus. Breakfast the best we’ve ever had. Hit, fresh and delicious with plenty of choice. Position incredible with wonderful views. Hosts couldn’t do more. Can’t recommend enough.

There was nothing not to like !

Fabulous location close to Dolgellau but still very peaceful and in beautiful gardens. Lovely welcome from the host, Lisa. Beautiful room, absolutely spotless, very comfortable, lovely bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, very well cooked and fabulous quality ingredients. Loved the fresh strawberries and blueberries too! We would definitely stay here again- just perfect !

Nothing, everything exceeded expectations!

The hosts were very friendly! Breakfast was lovely and the view when having breakfast is amazing! Mountains, birds on the bird feeder, what more is there. The room was amazing, water pressure was one of the best, even including a rain shower! We even had a booklet that gave us information of the area. Hosts even have recommendations on where to visit, the waterfalls were amazing!

Situated with amazing views across the valley. The place was extremely comfortable and Colin and Lisa were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. A great find and hope to return soon.

Everything was great. The accommodation was wonderful, the hosts were marvelous and very friendly and the location ideal. The town, which is walking distance, had a number of good restaurants. We would thoroughly recommend. Veronica and Ray 😀👍
