Right by the bridge and linked to the tea house downstairs. Easy to find on the main road. Staff are fantastic and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. The fridge was full of goodies. The breakfast was amazing.

car park was a small walk away but understandable and really appreciated they had a car park as it could or would be difficult if they didn’t have one.

Warm welcome to this wet motorcyclist, pleasant room with comfy bed and excellent shower. Excellent breakfast with great view of the bridge (as it says on the tin). Secure gated parking is a couple of mins walk. Only complaint is that sound proofing between rooms could be better.

Wish the parking could be closer but this is only a minor thing, the layout of the town doesn’t facilitate this and we totally understood that.

Very well located; lots of facilities included such as freshly baked cakes and drinks supplied in a fridge. Lovely comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. The breakfast was great and very tasty. no complaints at all !

Price, buy that's life

Bed was amazing, with a view over looking the river, the view was fantastic. Night life was great lots of live entertainment. But most of all the staff and breakfast were amazing. Couldn't do enough for us

The rooms were lovely and clean with finishing touches like pleasant pictures and furnishings. The breakfast was excellent in the cafe and our rooms looked out onto the river and the Iron Bridge itself. The staff were really helpful and it was great to talk with the owner over breakfast, who made a point of asking every guest about their stay.

Out of season be aware some restaurants only open at the weekends. There is a good fish and chip shop and a few pubs within east walking distance.

Completely secure parking. Lots of treats in the room , wine, cake etc. Fabulous view and the most delicious breakfast in the tea room. The owner gets the most delicious sausages and bacon( family business) . Also kept bags safe on checkout day and then loaded them in our car for us. It was great and super relaxing and friendly. We definitely will go back.

Breakfast was delicious. Room was exactly what we wanted. Not a sanitised chain hotel but a small business that puts the guests at the centre of what they do. Nice touch that the owner came to have a chat with us whilst having breakfast to make sure that we were happy with the stay. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the property to any of my family or friends. Thanks for a great visit.

Nothing - it was all fantastic.

We stayed at the Bridge View guest house for 2 nights and had a wonderful time. Our suite, the Pritchard, was superb: really well furnished with super soft bedding, large fluffy towels, fantastic bathroom with power shower, and a really comfy bed. The room was brilliant, with plenty of power sockets and a great seating area over looking the stunning Iron bridge. We had a little fridge in which the guest house provided complimentary milk, water and juices, and we even had 2 small bottles of wine and cake. Could not have been better. Staff were super friendly ( shout out to Sam and Nick) and Richard the owner made us very welcome sharing plenty of info on places to go. The guest house is right in the centre of the high street, and there are loads of lovely restaurants and bars right on the doorstep. Breakfast was brilliant, generous portions with good quality food, all served in the café downstairs. We also had free parking just up the road . Can’t fault the Bridge View at all, and can’t wait to go back.
