Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWas a little unsure where to park the car once unloaded - but easily resolved!
Easy to find. Keys as promised in key safe. Clean, comfortable, warm. Some welcome beers from local brewery and fresh bread and butter were provided during the stay. Would happily stay again if in the area.

United KingdomThe location is lovely - a secluded little spot with a beautiful walk through a nature reserve to get into Brockenhurst, so very doable without a car. Taxis regularly and cheaply available from the station too. There's a farm shop a 5 minute walk away and a pub 10 minutes away, both of which you can use footpaths to get to. Over the road is a stunning field with heather and wild horses. The brewery on site is friendly and shuts in good time to get a late afternoon pint but not be disturbed in the evenings.

The cabin was perfect for my needs, very nicely decorated and really welcoming, and the hosts left a note with their recommendations for pubs, walks etc which was great. There was freshly baked bread which was a lovely touch!

United KingdomNothing!!
The cabin was lovely, quiet, warm (heating was on when we arrived) and everything we needed was there.Tom and Lucy had left milk, ice cream and beers in the fridge for us and delivered warm home made bread to us when we arrived. Bed was comfortable and shower was good.We used the small oven which was easy to use. There is a small brewery next door - very tasty beers. There is a farm shop a few minutes away as well as a pub, there are small paths off the main road you can use, a bus stop is also nearby, we arrived by train and were given the best way to walk to the location away from the main road which was very helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. We would definitely stay again!

United KingdomNothing. Everything has been thought of. Shame the pizza oven was packed away two weeks ago, but that's just our bad timing.
Perfect little cabin with everything you need to self cater. Situated on a working microbrewery with a pub five minutes walk away and a farm shop next door. Regular bus service outside the pub means you can forget about the car. Very quiet, comfortable, and cosy. A well stocked fridge - including beer - awaits you. Tom and Lucy are the perfect hosts. Would definitely return.

United KingdomBe aware if you're walking from the station that there isn't a pavement if you're walking along the road. You can take a scenic route through the woods, but not with a suitcase.
Lucy and Tom went above and beyond, providing us with eggs from their chickens, fresh home-baked bread, and beer from their on-site brewery, which has a great selection of beers. They provided lots of helpful information about local walks (which you can do from the door), pub recommendations (we checked as many as we could, they were great) and an OS map so we didn't get lost. The bed was exceedingly comfy, we had breakfast outside on our own wee terrace and the whole setup was gloriously cosy and relaxing.

United KingdomThe only thing that was awkward for us , was that the bed although very comfortable, was very low to the floor .
It was tucked away off the road , the owners left fresh food to start the holiday and it had its own micro brewery on site. We were made very welcome when we arrived being told just to knock on their door if we needed any help.. they printed off bus timetables for us and told us the nearest bus stop was just along the road.

United KingdomThe TV was a little difficult to watch while laying on the bed. A micro wave would have been nice but there is limited space and a wall clock needed. Apart from that all good.
Although a little smaller than anticipated the cabin was great and we had a lovely break staying there. Lucky with the weather , we where able to eat outside on the little patio table every day and every thing was there to make dining easy. The hosts had left us a few bottles of there excellent beer, fresh eggs and home made bread which we really enjoyed. The location was great, nice and quiet, with there own micro pub bar for an afternoon drink and a farm shop a 2 minute walk away. What could be better !
