the room was spotless and comfortable. towels and toiletries were provided. the breakfast was very tastey and gillie offered a good variety of cereals etc. the bed was good quality and very comfortable.

Such a lovely stay. Gillie is an absolutely wonderful host and provides an amazing bed and breakfast. The room and private shower were comfortable and inviting. The drive from the main road could do with the potholes being filled but Gillie is on the case to get this sorted.

We stayed here for a night as we were going to a wedding in nearby Ladybank. Gillie, the owner, very kindly allowed us to check in at 2pm in order to attend the wedding at 3pm. A beautiful setting with lovely gardens. Very clean inside and out, very well maintained with lovely decor. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. There was free wifi available together with a kettle in the room with complimentary coffee, tea and milk and snack biscuits. The bathroom was lovely and very clean. The breakfast order was taken the evening before and was served in a communal kitchen with lovely views of the gardens. Cereals, fresh fruit and a choice of yoghurts were available but I went for the cooked breakfast which was very nicely cooked, with a lovely cup of tea. Checking in and out was simple, and Gillie very kindly dropped us off in Ladybank as I had left my car there the previous night. Gillie was the best host ever and such a nice person and clearly takes a lot of pride in her wonderful place. Would definitely stay again if we ever need to stay overnight in Fife again.

Location is beautiful and quiet. Very relaxing Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Staff went above and beyond to help us with every need. Breakfast was served beautifully and tasted delicious. Would definitely recommend.

We really loved staying at this accommodation. Gillie is such a lovely host and our breakfast was beautiful, we felt spoilt. Our room was homely, warm and super clean. The property is lovely and very quiet. We saw this property had great reviews and after staying here we understand why. We can highly recommend staying at this accommodation.

A Warm welcome by the owner upon my arrival was a promise of a good visit. I wasn't disappointed. Bedroom spacious, spotless and very well equipped. Bathroom was immaculate and it had a bath, not just a shower & first night I relaxed in a hot bath after a long drive. The bed with its electric blanket was so comfortable I almost overslept! The room was also comfortably warm & so quiet. A delish breakfast was prepared and served by the owner Gillie & was more than I could eat, with such a huge choice. I absolutely loved the location and this beautiful old cottage, and I shall certainly return when possible. My thanks to my host Gillie for a truly lovely stay, you made me feel I was with a long standing friend, although we had only just met. I wholeheartedly recommend Cantrip Cottage.

We arrived late in the evening by bus, and Gillie very kindly picked us up from the bus stop, even though it was just a short walk from the cottage. The room was spacious and warm. At breakfast, we enjoyed both the food (Gillie catered to our dietary requirements) and the communal atmosphere (we were seated at a long table and got to chat with the other guests). The place is just a short bus ride from St Andrews, and the buses go very frequently.

We loved it all!

The location and our room were wonderful- a quiet and scenic place in the country. It was convenient for our visit to St. Andrews. Gillie was a great host, very helpful, a super breakfast and wonderful conversation! Would definitely stay again.
