Wet room shower. Water spilled out quite close to the remaining bathroom areas so needed to put towels down to be able to stand post shower without getting wet feet when using the bathroom.

Friendly staff and large, clean room. Good breakfast also with varied choice.

Unfortunately there is building work going on at the minute at the front of the building and we heard some drilling during breakfast time which isn’t ideal. However Enrico has been in Touch with me to ensure our next stay is exceptional. Excellent customer service.

The lifts are often full and you can be stood waiting a while. (We took the stairs, but if you’re not able to, this is a problem) The scaffolding is a pain.

My only issue was that the specific room I was given has a few uneven areas of flooring with some noticeable gaps. The floor creaked almost everywhere you went which is probably understandable since I assume it is an old building repurposed to be a hotel. On occasions there appears to be a slight odor of exhaust that seems to leak through the flooring and carpeting. Not sure if it's from sitting vehicles outside or machinery within the building seeping in. Once the heating system kicked in it seems to push the odor out and vent the room so I kept the climate control set to being on as much as possible. Otherwise it would have been of great concern. I was not in the room often and my stay was a short one night with a very early am departure. I didn't bring it to the attention of the staff or ask to switch because it was late when I noticed it. My daughter and I were exhausted from a long day of sight seeing and had to be up by 0330 to catch our flight back home. Otherwise it was a nice room with great service.

It's a nice property aside from the work scaffolding outside. Staff is very friendly and helpful and always with a smile. Excellent customer service. The location is perfect to go sight seeing the old and new town area. Everything is pretty much in walking distance. The room looks nice. Comfortable beds. Plenty of outlets for devices. Nice bathroom. I worked for Hilton a long time ago for many years so it was nice to see the wonderful quality of service and facilities hasn't changed.

Had a hard time finding the hotel from Waverley station, as it was our first time in Edinburgh we didn’t know there were two different street levels and had to return to the train station to ask for directions when we ended up in the lower street level.

Good sized, clean room. Shower had excellent water pressure, tub filled and emptied very quickly. Beds were very comfortable. Everyone we met was friendly and efficient.
