Breakfast nicely cooked and presented but sausages and bacon a little tasteless. Maybe use to cumbrian and local produce !!

Friendly staff. Good location. Good parking. Nice room. Nice breakfast.

Oh dear, the dinner left a little to be desired. 8 out of the 9 main courses turned up including 5 steaks all properly cooked to individual tastes and very spot on with the various diners. It then transpired that my wife's meal had been 'forgotten '(pardon, how, why, inexcusable) but then when her fish did turn up, presumably cooked on the hurry, it was clearly undercooked (why?) and had to be sent back to be finished off. With one of the other meals, the fish and chips, the battered fish was said to be quite 'soggy'. I ordered the lamb which came in thick slices, all well and good, but after trying several pieces it became clear it was all very chewy and inedible, probably due to a freak bad cut (it sometimes happens). Should have sent it back but I kept thinking the next piece of meat would be okay. Fortunately, the cost of my meal was graciously deducted from the bill, which was good, but I was still left pondering my wife's 'forgotten meal' and then undercooked fish, perhaps the chef had forgotten how to cook salmon properly. ( I cook salmon most weeks for my wife, and as for 'forgetting' that's more than my life is worth!) All a bit of pity because the last birthday dinner I had a few months back at the Deddington Arms for 7 went well.

The staff are good and welcoming, check in was easy and the room was ready ahead of time. The room and the ample bathroom were comfortable and clean and everything that should work worked, ie, lights, etc. The breakfast was also enjoyable with a good range of choices. The all English (not Welsh, not Scottish) breakfast was very filling and would set you up all day if going out to play tourist (which we were not). The bar area is welcoming and the dining area has been tastefully decorated and lit. We did arrive around lunchtime when departing guests may have not quite left, but were able to get parked even if some guests don't know what the white lines mean in the car park.

Bathroom, needed updating, but like I said above they are been refurbished we were just not in the room that had been done yet , the furniture in the room we were in needed replacing bit old

The property were really nice , we didn’t end up in the room we paid for , due to someone been in that room , the receptionist were so lovely and could not apologise enough. The room she moved us to were nothing like I had booked on booking.com . I asked to be moved as I were definitely not paying £105 for that room . We were moved to another room this were not as nice as the pictures I were then to be told they are refurbishing these rooms .It were ok I will say it were clean bathroom needed updating but would not really paid £105 if I had seen this on the pictures. I will say it’s a lovely place , the food in restaurant were lovely and the breakfast were outstanding, really good choice. Staff really lovely could not do enough for you . Would stay here again but hopefully next time get the room we booked 🤞🙈

Very friendly welcome with an easy atmosphere. Very comfortable and well maintained. It’s in a lovely village that takes you back to Olde England. The breakfast was excellent, as was the evening meal, with a very good selection of dishes to choose from.

The room needed redecorating. Everything worked as expected but the decor throughout the hotel was in need of a refresh. The roof leaked in the main buildings. There were no biscuits in the room.

The bedroom was very basic and tired ...and I found depressing, dark brown and cream with no bright touches..but thats just my opinion..and there was no where comfy to sit by bar just to chill have a drink and read....but plenty of seats and tables

The staff the hotel, location ... and the Food...best sandwich I'd had in a long time....and dinner was really good... everywhere was clean . The staff were really lovely

I have an issue in general with service charges especially on draught beer, adding 12.5% to a £6 pint is a little bit cheeky to be honest especially when eating in the bar.. I know you can refuse but it creates an awkward situation. I consider myself a good tipper and prefer a discreet tip to the server directly.

Excellent choice of continental and cooked. Cooked breakfast was very well cooked. Very attentive staff.

The bedroom was comfortable but in need of redecoration, The cleaning seemed to be good on large surfaces but there was lots of dust on the smaller surfaces and the state of the window was terrible with lots of dust and cob webs, Needs a better cleaning regime.

Room was very hot when we arrived, turned off radiator in bedroom and opened window and it was fine. TV was in an awkward position, wardrobe restricted the view on one side of the bed. Bathroom needs refurbishing, very tired and as such didn’t look that clean. A few hairs in the bath too. Despite being hot upstairs, the bathroom was very cold. Managed to find a switch for the towel rail and it got a bit warmer. The cushions had a couple of suspicious looking stains!

We were given a suite - this consisted of a couple of chairs and tea and coffee facilities and a bathroom downstairs and the bedroom upstairs. Bed was very comfortable and the sound-proofing was excellent as couldn’t hear much at all from adjacent rooms. Food in pub/restaurant was very good, but service was a little slow despite not being overly busy. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was excellent, although didn’t have much fresh fruit. Plenty of tea and coffee
