Most days, the breakfast consisted of 4 items to choose from. Eggs, beans, sausage and bacon. Sloppy runny yoghurt in a large bowl and choice of very sweet syrupy berry compote. Fresh fruit most days was apples and easy peelers. Very basic breakfast.

The location of the hotel was perfect. Secure free parking. Rooms spacious and comfortable.

Location was good, it was quiet (although didn't go when anything was on at the racecourse) Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble... Welcoming and felt safe and comfortable as a female solo traveller...

The problems having experience getting to the hotel the direct road was closed off.was not very happy about that

Very noisy during the night. Doors banging and loud talking in corridor. Men in room next door talking loudly and swearing at 3am. Have stayed here a few times and never had this problem before

I tried calling the hotel three times due to being stuck nearby, due to road closures. I was unable to get to the hotel car park because of diversions. When I called to ask for advice I got put through to a central helpline (not at the hotel). They initially stated that they couldn't help. When I called back the second and third time the member of staff said they would connect me to the hotel. The hotel line rang out and the automated response said staff were busy and not able to answer. We ended up being late for the concert we were going to see. It was frustrating that we couldn't speak to a member of staff at the hotel and get some local knowledge over an issue that the hotel would have been very much aware of due to the closure being outside the hotel. The sausage and scrambled egg at breakfast were cold. The bacon was hard.

The location of the hotel was great. The bed was comfy.

Road closures around hotel couldn't park opposite hotel email would of been nice but staff said info was on website wasn't I wasn't the only person staying there with same problem rang hotel 4 times to get some information but got hung up eveytime needed help to find another way in to hotel car park had to park in a different car park away from hotel which I had to pay for and struggle with bags

There was constant noise of doors banging. You could hear the conversation next door. The clanking sound of housekeeping trolleys started early. Every single door in the building was slammable.

Toilet seat misaligned. Shower doors did not close properly. Hair dryer not working and the replacement could not be plugged into a socket adjacent to the only mirror in the room, as this socket was not working.

Difficult to access due to road works, a lot of diversions in place.

Easy walk to the old town centre and city walls. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower hot. Free onsite parking. Breakfast was included in the price. Good value for money.
