Slightly overpriced rooms for what you actually got.

Great choice at breakfast. Room was well presented,but a bit basic for the price charged. Staff were really friendly, and helpful.

Room was stuffy and too hot to sleep comfortably. Fan provided wasn't powerful enough to cool the room. Window opened only a crack. We resorted to propping open the bedroom door to try and get a through draft.

Room was small, no air con or temperature control so very hot and stuffy. Not clear that room was in a modern block attached to the house. Felt like we were being rushed through dinner by over attentive staff. Had to pay too much for breakfast -£20 each

My room was on the top floor and wad very hot but they do provide a large fan.

The room was well maintained and had some superb features. The bed was extremely comfortable and staff were very helpful. I walked around the grounds and had the pleasure of seeing a beautiful deer and her baby fawn. The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing.

Rooms were small in the annex. Tired decor and dated interiors. Not maintained to a high standard. Shower head unit leaking and wall bracket broken.

Venue was busy with wedding and pre wedding functions but the senior staff member made time to personally welcome us to the restaurant and a lovely young lady looked after us very nicely.

Room was not worth £200 b&b. £20 each for breakfast was a lot of money for a buffet, albeit cooked, but was not hot. Our cozy double room was in an annexe to the main hotel - very cozy, single glazed windows so drafty and noisy I'm afraid.

The room as across a courtyard and up several flights of stairs. No lift and no warning. I’m not very fit and quite old and it was a real struggle for each trip to the restaurant. Dodging the rain and shlepping up the stairs. I had to get help with my bag both ways. The bar food and the breakfast were both very average.

The staff were all very helpful. The bathroom was really nice. The room had a radiator which I 100% prefer over those hot air fans in the ceiling that many hotels have.

The tv in our room was very difficult to switch over and tune to various stations.

Lovely full English breakfast. However I would of liked an option with the hot breakfasts such as Egg Benedict or Scrambled/Poached eggs in toast.

Only one problem for me was I have arthritis and struggled with room being on top floor. Also in bedroom no dressing mirror to do make up.

Next time I would book a bigger room but we booked quite last minute and were happy with what we had.

The only option for dinner was the bar, no dinning room option. It was off season so perhaps not viable. Bar food was good but didn’t have the character of the old building

The gardens and building are beautiful in this hotel . Would be a great location for a wedding .

It should say if the room is in the main building or the outside building, we assumed it was in the main building. My room wasn't made up even though my sign had been put back in my room.

Really quiet area, lovely historic building. Wi-fi good, good selection of sockets. Good lighting, nice shower, nice staff. Good selection at breakfast, has a lot of area to walk about outside. Claire the manager was lovely.
