Norma was very welcoming and the room was lovely with a comfortable bed. We even had some cake on arrival which was a lovely touch. We would happily return and would recommend to others

Norma and Colin were so welcoming and friendly! Nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely evening meal in the cosy lounge! The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean! There was homemade cake for us and treats for our dog, plus dog bed and bowl!

Fell view slaggyford is the best b&b on the pennine way. Fantastic host, fantastic food and a fantastic bed. Was made very welcome as soon as we arrived and the whole experience had a homely feel. Will definitely be back if we are in the area again. DON’T FORGET SLAGGYFORD !!

There was honestly nothing we didn't like - except perhaps that we had to leave! My husband and I would both thoroughly recommend staying here if you want peace, comfort, non-intrusive warmth and friendliness and beautiful places to visit

Our room was spotless. The bed was really comfortable and there were so many little touches that showed how much our hosts care e.g. a lovely range of teas and coffee; little chocolates; biscuits; make-up remover pads. Norma was our host and she was incredibly friendly and totally transformed our stay, as we took every bit of advice she gave about where to visit e.g. Long Meg and Ashgill Waterfall. Norma even light candles for us when we settled in to watch a film at the end of the day!

Both hosts are incredibly kind and friendly. I had such a warm and heartfelt welcome. The house and its tasteful, modern and lovely interior is a gem. For me the best place to arrived after a tiring walk.

Property decorated to the highest order. I was offered tea and cake on arrival. My room was large and spacious with a top quality shower. The evening meal set me up well for my next day’s walk ( I was walking the Pennine Way). The coffee and tea making facilities used superior quality products. I had use of a very comfortable lounge during the evening. A very pleasant stay.

Slaggyford approach from Alston is long. If time permits stop in Garrigill then Slaggyford. We came through from Dufton which was a lot! Nothing on the property itself though, its location off the PW is brilliant.

Fantastic room, great amenities like tea and coffee. Norma and Colin were such accommodating hosts, especially given we arrived much later than intended. The food was fantastic too, best meal I had along the entire Pennine Way! Looking forward to booking a trip back in the next summer season.

Absolutely nothing, it was a perfect stopover.

Spacious, comfortable, well-appointed, excellent location, and great value for money. Norma was super helpful - I asked about the possibility of a gluten-free breakfast, and nothing was too much trouble. Colin was super helpful in the morning, giving us some great local knowledge about places to visit nearby and giving us directions to good spots. Such a lovely couple, wish we'd been staying longer than one night! The facilities were excellent - the comfiest bed I've slept in for a long time, an amazing shower and even a lovely little tea/coffee/hot chocolate station right by the room. The guest lounge was very comfortable and had a wood burner that I imagine would be so cosy in winter. Breakfast was delicious, home-cooked at a time we wanted and nicely generous portions to set us up for the day. We'll definitely be coming back to stay for longer!

The perfect stay for the Pennine walker! Everything is just as it should be, the food, the room, the fireplace and Collins hospitality made it for us fantastic. We arrived wet , cold and hungry and we left happy. Highly recommended!

A bit steep staircase for guests to the front door although Norma and Collin most helpfully offered us by leaving the house with heavy luggage their own exiting door at the end of the stay.

Good facilities, nice furnished bedroom, practical bathroom and tea corner, warm and welcoming sitting room with working fireplace, where the most friendly and accommodating couple of hosts, Norma and Collin, provided for us on extra request well cooked and tasteful dishes for very affordable price. We enjoyed it not only for sleeping but as well for comfortable rest after PW walk and nice spending couple of free hours before carrying on further on the next day. Thank you.
