Kids loved the connecting bunk room and rooms overall were beautifully decorated. The food was of a high quality- both dinner and breakfast. We really enjoyed having a drink in the wonderful gardens at the front of the hotel. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

The only downside was the tiny shower room but it wasn’t the end of the world.

A perfect find for what I needed this week. Clean, very comfortable and friendly staff. The room had some super added extras - a dressing gown and an iron/ironing board which was a real bonus.

Loved the charm of the place. Rooms extremely comfortable with en suites. Meals excellent, cooked to a very high standard. Bar area small but you can overflow into the restaurant area. Ideal spot if you're on a walking tour as views were tremendous. Countryside everywhere.

The mattress on the main bed needs replacing an affected out sleep but my daughters was very comfortable. It did not change the great stay we had but it was a shame because everything else was exceptional

You could sadly hear people talking on the phone in the next room and the people dining downstairs- they were extra loud I suppose as it was a Christmas celebration.

Would have preferred a bath for the family room, for the children but understand due to the old building and space it’s not possible in the room we had.

It’s beautifully decorated and lovely attention to detail in common areas, wreaths, lights, seating, games and cookies to buy. Lovely views from the windows. Great location. Lovely breakfast and kind staff.

The toilet had problems flushing and the shower hose was leaking and had little water pressure. Shower door opens on to toilet. Made aware on checkout and wasn’t aware of the problem but will get it rectified.

The property has undergone a major refurbishment with a boutique style decor. Comfortable bed, cosy room and friendless and service from staff was amazing. Great location. Fantastic meal and breakfast choices. Lots of lovely touches including robe and hot chocolate to drink in the room.

I often stay in Buckfastleigh with work, The Furzeleigh Mill is my GO TO Hetel, the staff are fabulous, Breakfast is wonderful, comfy bed and pillows, the hotel is quiet and feels very safe for a lone travellor.
