Disturbed by mice in loft, the lounge floor had boot prints which had not been cleaned.

Cottage with character, great location, friendly host.

    Stunning. Magical. Cosy.

Stairs were a little steep for us but only to be expected in a beautiful ancient cottage. You have to be careful in the bathroom as any spills end up in the kitchen, again because of the structure of the building.

Amazing location. Beautiful surroundings, quiet location but convenient for exploring the area. The cottage itself is so homely, nice welcoming touches - everything you need. Stunning original features but well adapted for visitors - just magical and you feel like you have stepped back in time (with TV and microwave). Beautiful private garden and well-cared for flower baskets. Car parking just across the yard from the cottage. I think I loved the stable door best, being able to leave the top open and look out over the cobbled yard and pretty garden.

The cottage was totally outdated it had not had a coat of paint for a very long time the kitchen was ok for the size of the cottage but everything was very poor when we booked we informed that we had two service specialist search dogs with us within ten minutes of us being in the cottage we were told we had to pay £60 cash no cards for the dogs to stay in the cottage incase of any damage both dogs have there own cages and do not wonder around unlike there own dogs that were running around we did not pay the cash on the Saturday morning we left the cottage and returned home

    Nothing there was no breakfast

    Disappointed!

OK I could see this place was tiny before booking but it’s close to where we want to be for an event, available short notice over a weekend in July and allows dogs so OK, but it was disappointing it all needs some investment as it could be such a nice place No shower. antique/junk shop ,furniture , fittings, bathroom, saggy bed, bedding etc haven’t been updated in decades and it feels a tiny dingy place to be, obviously not helped by wet weather but exacerbated by lack of wi-fi , especially bad as there is also no phone signal Check on extra charges for 2 dogs when booking - not clear at time of booking and gaoling to pay as Dog poo in Garden- not ours we picked up. Toilet flush broke first evening and couldn’t be fixed for duration of stay so we had to flush with a bucket of water !! We gave up and only stayed 2 of the 3 nights.

Lovely Rural location and garden, Host is friendly and helpful , secure storage for motorcycle, place is picturesque (from outside), parking, complementary tea and Welshcakes

Don't disregard the description of the steep stairs. They are surprisingly steep!

It was lovely and cosy, and our dogs loved it. The garden area was delightful. There's lovely forestry walks nearby

The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome. The cottage was lovely and had everything we need to make our stay comfortable. Lots of nice walks and countryside just a short drive away. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking to escape to countryside for a relaxing time away.
