How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The pictures make it look like there is a washer and dryer. In fact there are two washing machines, which is weird, and no dryer.
The location is perfect if you're traveling in or out of Gatwick airport. It's a 5-minute drive. Check in was really easy using the lock box, and the instructions were fabulous. The patio was a nice place to sit and have tea, and the beds were comfortable. The staff also went out of their way to stock the apartment with some breakfast foods and coffee and tea.

Getting in was very easy, very clean a very good set up, the children loved the TV and Netflix! The beds were really comfortable.

The studio was very easy do get from the airport. The studio is very clean, everything is new and very comfy. I appreciated small details as a cereal and milk and coffee with the cookies. Thank you so much!

The floors were really cold and there's no way of managing the temperature ourselves so we did find that we had to add extra layers on to be comfortable.
Great location for getting to Gatwick Airport. Easy check in and host was very communicative. Comfy bed and kitchen had everything you'd need for a nights stay - although I think if it was longer we would have felt the need of a few more utensils.

It was too far to walk at night with heavy suitcases and not knowing the area. Had directions been clearer, we would probably not have had to take a cab, with the additional expense, but the directions to and from the station were not adequate and we felt obliged to take a cab. If this had been explained in more detail, it would have been much improved. Furthermore, there were not enough bedside lamps. There should be one for each bed! Also, additional blankets should be provided.
It was very clean, comfortable and easy to settle into at night when we arrived. Everything we needed was included, except, see lamps comment below..... Breakfast drinks were provided, thank you!

Absolutely great!
No breakfast is provided but there are plenty of coffee, tea, milk, sugar, cookies. The flat has a fully fitted kitchen, wonderful bathroom, linens, towels, spotless! This is my second time staying there...it is my place when traveling from Gatwick.

No dish towels.
Location is perfect, walikng distance from the airport. But we did not heard any planes. Food store nearby, excellent store at about 15mn walk. Walking distance from train station as well.

Foldout luggage racks might be an idea so visitors don’t use the floor. This may also save the floor from extra wear and tear.
This studio apartment was a very well thought out space, clean and modern, tastefully decorated, providing everything we needed which included, private shower room, kitchen and parking.

The walls are quite thin but that didn’t bother us too much - if you’re a really light sleeper just pack ear plugs and you’ll be absolutely fine

There are other residential appartments above this rental space so it was important to be mindful of our noise impact, but that was OK and expected when we booked the place. It is a good walk into town or to Gatwick Airport but easy for the fit and healthy, otherwise taxi facilities are easily accessible.
The living spaces were excellent (living/sleeping plus separate kitchen, bathroom and outdoor courtyard). The place was immaculate, very tastefully decorated, and spacious enough for our small family of 3. Car Parking was also available and good. The host is a fabulous communicator and was extremely gracious regarding our extra requests. Can’t recommend this studio apartment enough. So glad this was available to us on the booking app.
