The only thing I will say (so minor) but the shower in our room was gorgeous for space and decor but the shower head was small and pressure wasn’t too strong. This is literally the only thing I can say!! Loved everything

We liked everything

Great location, beautiful place. Decor and building were stunning. Really good service and as we were staying with children, Ian provided the top floor 2 rooms so we could be close to one another. It felt like our own contained area, which was perfect. The breakfast was also extensive, filling and delicious. Set us up for the long walks we managed to get in.

There is nothing that we didnt like about Glencree or the location

Breakfast was very good, anything that you would want and more, portion size is large, but you can ask for a smaller portion. Room was spotless clean, nice comfy bed and lovely fresh towels, the location is great, easy walking distance to Windemere or Bo`ness

Beautiful building and very well furnished. Tasteful and tidy and offers good comfort. The amenities are also stand out with its terrace bar upon the river. The location is idyllic between both sides of bars and restaurants but quiet enough to not impede on its solace. Both owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating. Wonderful place to stay.

I don’t think there is anything I can fairly say I didn’t like about Glencree.

Our room was clean and cosy overlooking a balcony. The breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly and very helpful in answering my many questions. Definitely coming back!

Another faultless stay. Lovely rooms with the most comfortable bed and everything you could need. The location is perfect for exploring both ends of the town. Breakfast is lovely with so many options to choose from and the staff are lovely and friendly. We couldn’t recommend Glencree more and already know we’ll be back again!

Small car park but we could park over the road in the church car park. Room was very compact, no problem for an overnight but would struggle on a walking holiday if we had taken lots of luggage. Just room for the bed and built in wardrobes. It did have all facilities, tea coffee etc and it was spotless just all space was utilised.

Location and balcony overlooking the river was a lovely addition. Perfect when the weather is good and gives you the added space and relaxation area. Unfortunately it was raining by the time we checked in so couldn’t utilise it. Room was spotless and comfortable bed with added en-suite. Unfortunately prior to arrival the hotel experienced a leak in the kitchens so were unable to offer cooked breakfasts. Ian the owner in plenty of time offered various options one of which was to eat at a local cafe 5 mins walk away which he had made an arrangement with. We decided on this and enjoyed the short walk and the breakfast was lovely. The correspondence was spot on and check in and out very straight forward.

Glencree was a wonderful property, where we had a delightful 2 day stay. The property itself was really charming, equidistant from both Bowness-on-Windermere and the Windermere town centre. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a large bed and TV. The room also had a lot of thoughtful touches and all major amenities. The property overlooks a small brook and has a patio area with a couple of chairs, which is accessible to all guests. The hotel staff were easy to communicate with and quick to respond to queries. Overall, I would highly recommend this place!

Wouldn’t say I had anything bad to say, apart from there is a pair of male underwear under bedroom 4 bed 🤔 cleaner needs to clean under beds more frequent as there is a lot of dust etc. other couples might have taken that more seriously but I saw the funny side..

Was in a good location and 15 min walk to the centre. Ian is a top guy, easy going and will tell you where’s best to eat 👌🏼hotel is modern, clean and up to scratch.

We have just returned from our 3rd stay there and can not recommend this B & B highly enough. Lovely staff, the breakfast included was delicious!!! Location perfect 👌 10 minutes walk to Windermere centre and 15 mins to Bowness. We will be back. Thanks, Ian, for yet another fab stay. Diane & Chris
