Lovely rooms in old barn/cowshed with pretty gardens and quiet situation. Bats were flying as we strolled back from the inn at dusk, very atmospheric! Very clean and well appointed room - nice touches such as fridge with chilled milk and water. Excellent breakfast and attentive and friendly staff.

There is no window in the room which can be opened - fortunately high pitched ceiling meant enough air not to get stuffy. The lighting isn't great for putting on makeup.

Lovely atmospheric pub with great food for dinner and great breakfast included. Rooms are converted stables which have lots of character and have been well converted, set round two sides of a super green lawn and lavender, quiet and away from the main road. Altogether a very nice place to stay.

The rooms were nicely furnished and the coffee/tea facilities were very good. The bathroom had lovely toiletries too. The food in the restaurant was excellent and beautifully presented and breakfast was generous and delicious too.

The staff were lovely and really welcoming. We liked how the rooms were separate from the main pub as it meant there was no noise from the restaurant etc. and they were in a lovely setting. The room was nice and clean and had tea/coffee etc and plenty of water in the fridge. The bathroom was also clean and fresh and all felt relatively newly done/good condition and not dated like some others we have stayed in. The breakfast was really tasty as was our lunch the day before.

We stayed in the Shepherd's hut with our dog - it was fabulous and exceeded our expectations. Spacious & comfortable - it had everything we could ever need; the mini kitchen and bathroom were great. It even has a log burner for when the weather isn't too warm. Our friend stayed in one of the rooms in the barn and it was gorgeous! Lovely seating area and lawns outside and a lovely walking trail directly outside which was a real bonus. Owner and staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was absolutely superb - hats off to chef! Would stay again and I would highly recommend.

The shower wasn’t very good in our room - poor pressure and the shower head needed changing or at least a good clean/descale. The food was a bit pricey but still good quality though.

A number of different places to choose from to sit and relax and to eat. Clean and friendly. Bed very comfortable.

The service was very good and nice people only thing I would suggest to improve is the timings of the food in that our mains arrived to soon after our starter and likewise with breakfast cooked was served very quick after our cereals

Nothing within the control of the venue - chaotic diversions in the neighbouring Midhust - allow extra time if you plan to travel through Midburst to the venue

An truely delightful and well equiped room with an excellent host. The evening meal was good and the breakfast was very good. Very good value for money and somewhere we would stay again if in the area.

Some traffic noise as set back only a little bit from the main road. But quietened down at night.
