Although dated and alittle eirn out, it was charming clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lively and the staff went above and beyond.

Ladybugs climbing on our table in restaurant while having tea. ( table next to window) But they didn’t put us off. Booking was slight worry as asked to pay a company I didn’t recognise and the account was spelt Arefield( missing the H) , but again it was all fine.

Beautiful setting. Lovely old styled bedroom with 4 postbed. Food was delicious in the restaurant for tea.

Great location on the edge of Pateley Bridge in the Dales, with stunning views. The hotel had charm and character and so much to look at inside, too. We couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome from the staff and the locals! The breakfast was fantastic, with proper sausages! We would definitely stay here again.

No dogs allowed, mine had to sleep in the car Noisy stairs and drunken guests moving around through the night making them creak a LOT

Lovely location, great breakfast and a fantastic room for a small upgrade cost. Lots to do locally - we visited Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey as well as exploring Pately Bridge.

When we arrived at our room just before midnight, we found the entire window sill covered with ladybirds. Later on, we saw them everywhere.. on the walls, ceiling, even on the carpet and in our bed.

When we were there some of the windows were being replaced and so there was quite a lot of noise and quite cold at breakfast. Good however to see the owners are investing in the property because it deserves to do well.

Very enjoyable stay - large room and a large and what appeared to be recently updated bathroom. This is an ideal location if you want to use as a base to enjoy the local countryside.

A couple of minor niggles not significant enough to make a fuss about so just mentioned on the way out so they could deal with for the next guests in that room

Lovely hotel, comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful location - we saw deer in the garden from our room. Good value and lovely, well cooked food. I couldn't eat my desert as wasn't what I was expecting but staff rectified

I arrived late due to work, nearly 10pm on a Friday and the reception staff had clearly waited just for me which was good. However, once I'd checked in that was it. Bar closed, no food offer. No staff. Not a place for a night cap.

The room was beautiful with a great view and the whole place had a solid old fashioned heavyweight baronial quality to it. The staff were great, helpful and welcoming. Good breakfast. The whole place looks lovely.

Dining room appeared to have no heating with an explanation but no apology given for not using the open fire. Perhaps an alternative heater could have been supplied.

Room had fantastic view and sitting area with king size bed, clearly an upgrade.

Room was cold when we arrived the, shower really slow, to warm up in the morning room was exceptionally cold no heating was on we had an electric heater in the room didn't really do the job
