Scaffolding on the outside was the only issue I have with the building. Beds were slightly hard

Very very very dated property. Almost like travelling back to the 1960’s. Car parking was completely full, which you had to pay for. Not good! A collection of smells around the hallways, smoke, food, damp smells. Not nice. Staff on check out were inattentive and didn’t even look at you.

The room was not great for the price especially furniture is a bit too old and not very comfortable either. Room was slightly smaller for double room. Carpet looked quite old and not very clean. Only one spoon next to cattle with tea/coffee. Light was not very bright too.

On the photos and hotel advertisement looked much better than in reality that’s what we liked from first online view.

As usual good stay. Staff are friendly accept one!!! The miserable member of staff I'm talking about needs to ask herself, ' do I like my job dealing with the public'? Other than that, good stay at Heathland.

The Entire stay was ruined by exceptionally uncomfortable beds which caused lack of sleep, backache, and tiredness. The mattresses were 6in thick and should have been adequate but the divan wasn't sprung and the cause of the discomfort. For this reason only, regrettably, we would not use Heathlands again

Room too hot and stuffy so didn't sleep well. However found a fan in the wardrobe the next day which could have really helped if staying another night. My partner complained about feeling the springs in the matress

Great food. Lovely location. Great value for money. I paid for a dinner buffet to as well as a breakfast and it was good food on both accounts.

Some staff are great some are miserable! Shouldn’t be customer facing in my opinion! When booking my room, I requested a car park facing window either front or back, as I stay here all the time it shouldn’t have been an issue, Ive spent a lot of money here over the last 2 years, and even after when booking my Room this was requested in the comments. Many rooms still had stickers on the door entries which indicates room not occupied and yet I was told No car park facing rooms available! No very happy, I’ll try again next week if to no avail I will stay at the Royal Bath.

Room service cleaner I could be at hotel for a week and no service not good enough.

When we arrived were put into room 107 we stayed one night and asked to be moved reason room was too hot and could hear everything from rooms near bye,moved us the next morning to room 10 on ground floor it was much better,the only thing that lets hotel down is that there’s no cleaner room service just when your departing think they should look into that.

The light on the stair still does work . I stayed in that room about 3 years ago . An the light on the stair still didn't work Between the bedroom an the bathroom . There are 5 stairs an the light did work an still does not . . Same one buy a long ladder

Property is a bit dated as expected, water hot but not much pressure. Limited plug sockets near bed.

Just tired and the shower wasn't great, but this is what you tend to find with these dated hotels. But has I've said, this hasn't put us off and we will return. Great value for money.

Paid less than £50 for a nights stay in a great location. It was a lot nicer than what I expected. The roof was ok, can't fault really fault it. I've stayed in hotels on the same road as this and paid a lot more for exactly the same. We will return.

Sadly disappointed that maintenance appeared to be suffering here. Damaged doors, walls, carpets brought the whole place down. Looked really shabby and uncared for both in corridors and in the two rooms we had. Banks of Lockers in corridors and vacuums left out spoke of a lack of bother for customer experience. Felt it was a shame as it made the place feel grubbier than it was as cleaning was to a good standard. The hospitality industry has been hit hard in recent years so can see how this has happened but seriously feel that no attention to even simple things like using filler on door frames and removing broken door lock parts, resticking or replacing ripped wall paper and spot painting would go a long way to improving. On the positive side mid price, good l ocation and friendly, helpful staff. Hope it gets the injection of care it needs. With a bit of effort it could be great.
