Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Jane was a fantastic host , her property is beautifully clean , warm and comfortable. Jane was very responsive and friendly. We had a nice en-suite with lovely shower. Jane was a such a lovely host so friendly, warm and welcoming We stayed in the Grey room which had everything you require it was super cosy and beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had a tasty fresh breakfast every morning and a lovely chat with Jane about the area and where we might like to go that day. She gave us lots of ideas on places to visit, and when we arrived back in the evening there was homemade flapjacks waiting in our room these were so good I got the recipe. Super guest house!

United KingdomThis was our second visit to Hill Crest. Jane is a great host and is very knowledgeable about the area. Being greeted with a pot of tea and scones was wonderful after a long journey. The room was clean and comfortable and a great base for touring around the Lake District. Breakfast was excellent. The house is set back from the main road and is peaceful with fabulous views of the countryside..

Nothing was too much trouble and lovely touches such as scones on arrival and home made flat jack in the room each day. Guests have access to a beautiful garden with seating, and a lounge. Situated in a quiet village just south of lake Windemere its perfect as a base to reach all the attractions.

Hill Crest had everything that we needed for our 4 night stay. The property is immaculate. Jane the host was very welcoming and friendly and was able to offer good advice and knowledge about the Lake District and recommended several good eating places. we would definitely recommend Anglers Arms (you need to book) and it’s only a short walk from Hill Crest. Breakfast was superb and it was lovely to be able to meet the other guests too. We would definitely recommend a stay here.
