Jane was a fantastic host , her property is beautifully clean , warm and comfortable. Jane was very responsive and friendly. We had a nice en-suite with lovely shower. Fantastic breakfast, fresh and high quality. Lovely additions such as chocolates, flapjacks ,tea in room -offers of a scone in the afternoon. Thanks Jane

Jane was a marvel! The breakfast was 'banging' and every need was catered for with efficiency & a smile. When we arrived at nearly 8pm, Jane baked us wonderful scones there and then and made tea - an amazing welcome & I would highly recommend to other prospective guests.

Had the loveliest time at Jane's! Everything was perfect. Cosy, comfy bed, amazing breakfast options, lovely view from the breakfast conservatory, and nice little surprises like warm scones and tea on arrival and flapjack in the room every day! Jane had great local recommendations and was a warm and welcoming host. Would 100% recommend.

Jane was a such a lovely host so friendly, warm and welcoming We stayed in the Grey room which had everything you require it was super cosy and beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had a tasty fresh breakfast every morning and a lovely chat with Jane about the area and where we might like to go that day. She gave us lots of ideas on places to visit, and when we arrived back in the evening there was homemade flapjacks waiting in our room these were so good I got the recipe. Super guest house!

This was our second visit to Hill Crest. Jane is a great host and is very knowledgeable about the area. Being greeted with a pot of tea and scones was wonderful after a long journey. The room was clean and comfortable and a great base for touring around the Lake District. Breakfast was excellent. The house is set back from the main road and is peaceful with fabulous views of the countryside..

Place was very charming and beautiful. Jane treated as like a family. She was warm and helpful. Very special stay as we celebrated 40s birthday, she made delicious cake as well she put effort to surprise my boyfriend for his special day, we highly recommended stay at Hill Crest Country Guest house.

Amazing B&B. Fresh cooked breakfast to order each morning. Immaculately clean rooms. Lovely firm comfy beds. Friendly and helpful host. Nothing was too much trouble and lovely touches such as scones on arrival and home made flat jack in the room each day. Guests have access to a beautiful garden with seating, and a lounge. Situated in a quiet village just south of lake Windemere its perfect as a base to reach all the attractions.

Hill Crest had everything that we needed for our 4 night stay. The property is immaculate. Jane the host was very welcoming and friendly and was able to offer good advice and knowledge about the Lake District and recommended several good eating places. we would definitely recommend Anglers Arms (you need to book) and it’s only a short walk from Hill Crest. Breakfast was superb and it was lovely to be able to meet the other guests too. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Everything the place was lovely. Very nice I really enjoyed staying there at the hill crest .very good breakfast of you choice.. Nice a quiet inside the quest house perfect for me .Good parking .. Jane the owner was a wonderful lady very helpful..I will Stay again if I'm up that way. Jeff
