When we arrived it was late in the evening, but the sink plug was jammed and water was still in the sink. I not a big problem but I would have thought that this would have been seen by the staff before signing off the room as being cleaned. I had to go down to reception in the morning to get them to send maintenance to rectify the problem. Staff were excellent in resolving the problem.

Big wedding party during our stay. Some of the guests were pretty rowdy smashing pictures in the hallway and intruding on tables in the bar area.

The hotel is really nice with great facilities. The bar is pretty small and food is very average in the bar. Didn’t get to try the restaurant so can’t comment on the food there.

The breakfast was very very busy had to wait a long time for hot food, the cold buffet had more or less ran out of everything, and they didn’t have the staff to refill. The bathroom could do with a refresh ( sealer)

I had to change rooms after the first night as I didn't sleep at all as the mattress was completely broken. The springs had gone and needed a new mattress. (Room 305).The hotel was very dated and needed a total overhaul. Several large dark stains on carpet in 305

Good size room, I did upgrade for a golf course view. Elemis products. Friendly staff. Great pool.. Food was good, Service on one of the evenings was slow but that was due to staff shortages.. I had to change room's due to uncomfortable mattress but this was the only thing wrong.

The hotel looked tired and unloved. Not good value for money. I know there was a party on the night of our arrival but the carpet was dirty and our room is dusty and not cleaned properly. The toilet flush wasn’t good and everything looks like it needs updating.

The location to the wedding venue we attended. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Can’t fault any of them. Plenty of choice for breakfast and the English buffet breakfast was very good.

There was no bottled water in the room, the shower gels were impossible to use. The Spa needs a complete renewal, it is very dated. There were no robes for residents! The food in the restaurant was poor,

There was a large group of older guests who not only were extremely loud in the middle of the night but were trying to access our room. My children particularly my son was upset about this and we had very limited sleep. The commotion of hammering on doors, shouting loudly, putting the key card in our door started around 2 and was still going on after 3am it was quite distressing being a single mum on my own.

I liked the location, the staff were friendly, room was clean.

In the room , there was no hairdryer and the remote for the TV did not work, also there was cobwebs across the bathroom ceiling. The bar and restaurant were dated and overpriced. The place needs a little tlc and attention to detail and updating.

We ate breakfast in the conservatory Borders Restaurant it smelled damp and the decor was desperately in need of updating, looked scruffy .

We went to take our son to the pool immediately after check out (11am) but hadn't realised that children could only go in the pool between 0900-1100 so left disappointed. Not sure where these times were advertised but we didn't see them.

We were eligible for a room upgrade which was honoured. The bedroom was a good size with a spare bed set up for our son. The beds were comfy and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was good. It was exceptionally busy and staff were running around helping and accommodating everyone. They were very pressured and short staffed apparently, but they did a great job (despite other customers feeling the need to complain and adding more stress for them).
