The second time we stayed it was in December and the heating in the room was not working, should have informed the reception but realised when was already in bed. Room was cold overnight.

Very nice big room and bed, clean and comfortable. The shuttle bus from and to Stansted runs very often and it is really easy to find at the airport.

Our flight arrived late. We only just missed the last shuttle bus, from the airport (apparently). We phoned the hotel (twice!! ...1st, the phone was put down on me 😒), the only help they could offer us, was for us, to phone a taxi!!! Taxi cost an extra £35!!! 8 mins drive!! Didn't sleep very well, even though we had been up, & travelling for 16hrs.

Room was slightly tired, not quite the usual Novotel standard, while food and alcohol at the bar not up to much and prices pretty steep. I have no problem paying a lot for food and alcohol but it's not really acceptable to deliver poor quality, cheaply made fare just because the hotel is isolated and there's no competition.

The shuttle service to the airport. It might not be the responsibility of the hotel but they need to work with the coach company. We could not get on the bus due to too many people. We had to wait another 30 minutes which caused us to almost miss our flight. This really is not good and caused us to have a very stressful flight.

The restaurant was great including the fantastic attentive staff.

No keto options on the menu. No drinking water in the hotel room. When I ordered lunch and dinner, I explained to the waiter that I wanted no bread or potatoes and extra vegetables instead, but it seems like it was not communicated to the chef and I had to re-explain. When I ordered dinner, I also asked for no salad dressing, but that was not relayed to the chef. (The chef at first brought out a hamburger with bread, and when I explained I had asked for no bread he instantly corrected it, so I didn't make an issue about the salad dressing.) It seemed like the chef was really going out of his way but the initial order was not communicated clearly to him. Also, every time I needed to go to the gym I had to go to reception and ask to be let in, sometimes waiting in line, even if I just left to use the bathroom. I understand this is about keeping children out of the gym but there should be easier ways of doing this. Maybe only give gym key cards to adults who have signed an agreement?

Excellent airport hotel. Not overpriced. Clean and comfortable rooms with everything one needs for an overnight and not cramped as some airport hotels are. Great gym with cardio machines, weights, and drinking water. Restaurant and bar. Extra coffees and teas in the room. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. They even helped me mail an urgent item before I got on my flight. Really wonderful staff at reception. Even the shuttle driver was super friendly and helpful.

We had booked the hotel to be at the airport in good time for an early morning flight. In the evening I had a pleasant chickpea curry at the restaurant. The staff were friendly and professional. The hotel offers a bus shuttle to the airport which takes only 6 minutes. Unfortunately it runs only once every hour. One thing that was a little annoyi ng was that the TV set had bad reception. For all this I found the price a little steep.

Only 2 variables of preserve at breakfast. Restaurant staff collecting wrappers etc from my table at breakfast ( asked to take them ) before I had finished eating . Room keys not functioning. Had to go back to reception to get replacement. Obviously the magnetic stripe on these have limited use but surely each new guest should be given new key cards ? When I informed reception of this I was informed 'not a problem '

The location is nice but you’d need to wait for the 15-minute shuttle every half hour which stops running at 1am. The staff was very nice but not complete professional to Novotel standard.
