I just wish it was easier to walk there from the main airport terminals - but that’s not the hotel’s fault: same applies to the others, and none are appreciably nearer.

Great location very close to our airport terminal within walking distance. The walk from the train terminal to this hotel was quick, within 5x mins max. Lovely, welcoming staff

The food took far too long, myself and a colleague booked a table and still had to wait over an hour, we where then seated an had to wait 30 minutes to be asked for a drink.

I wasn't made aware when I booked that there was a £15 car parking charge for overnight. This was waived by reception staff. The bar staff were slow and unenthusiastic. A burger was £20 and a G & T and double whisky came to £20.

Reception staff were very good and the room was clean, modern and comfortable. Very close to T2.

The staff in the restaurant were very pleasant, but the food was very mediocre: choice was extremely limited, and portions were very small for the price. The fish and chips was nicely presented, but had a tiny piece of fish in a lot of batter, and gave me indigestion during the night. The vegetables served with the grilled chicken were little more than a token. I felt the restaurant let the hotel down, and it was not up to the standard I would expect from DoubleTree by Hilton.

Breakfast was very good except for the bad attitude the older lady had who was working on the hot food counter. She was cooking eggs to order. My wife was in front of me and told the lady how she wanted her egg cooked - fried. When it came to my turn I also asked for mine fried. The lady said ' Why didn't you say that when 'SHE' ( referring to my wife ) ordered hers. I actually thought she was joking but realised she wasn't and she just stared at me. I told her not to bother cooking an egg for me and went to my table. People sat beside our table also said that they had a bad experience with her. I mententioned it a supervisor in the restaurant and also on reception when we checked out. The receptionist said the lady was probabaly busy but that wasnt an excuse for her attitude

We stayed overnight on Sunday January 21st because our flight back to Dublin was cancelled due to the bad weather. The location was a few minutes walk from terminal 1. The room was very comfortable and dinner that night was very enjoyable. Overall a very pleasant experience.
