The bedroom was a bit too dark to be able to read . The stairs and walls leading to the bedroom definitely needed redecorating .

The dining room was very nice

Radiator in room didn't work. Paint in top corner opposite bed is peeling, and toilet roll holder is absent.

Room was lovely, view was excellent. Staff were phenomenally friendly and helpful.

The stairs are steep and curve around, so access might be an issue for some. It’s an old Inn so it’s to be expected really…

What a lovely hotel/pub! We stayed with family after a wedding and they couldn’t do anymore to be helpful. The rooms are due a refurbishment according to the owners, and there are odd things that aren’t perfect such as a cracked window and a missing bathroom shelf, but to be honest the beds were so comfortable and the rooms so spacious (even the “classic”, smaller ones) that they are easily overlooked. Dogs are welcome and she was able to join us for breakfast in the bar area. The breakfasts were delicious, with lots of choice and vegan options too. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We needed to be away early next morning and asked a member of staff if they would be serving breakfast at 8.00am, their advertised start time and we were assured that this would be OK. Unfortunately, the staff arrived at 8.00am to start prepping breakfast which caused us some inconvenience with our onward travel. We did however enjoy our stay at the H & G.

We stopped off at the Horse & Groom on our way home to Yorkshire from a touring holiday in the West Country. We have stayed over in Moreton previously but this was our first visit to the H & G which is a lovely country Inn full of character and just a short drive from the centre of Moreton. We had a comfortable, well equipped and spacious room and enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the restaurant. Breakfast next morning was freshly cooked and delicious with a good choice including a bacon roll which I really enjoyed.

The noise from the road during the early hours of the night. Room was lovely but we had to keep the blinds closed due to people being in the beer garden and they could look straight into our room.

It’s character and close proximity to various attractions in the Cotswolds area

Would have been a better idea to know about running out of steak & pies on the menu, especially as the guest who were stopping there didn't get there first choice. Maybe worth sending the menu to the guests before hand to pre-order food.

Good Modern decorated room with large bed and plenty of room for the short stay. Well equipt with Iron & Ironing board and plenty of tea and coffee. Nice little extra for the dog with treats and water + food bowl. Plenty of space to put the dog travel cage and the luggage.

The lighting in the bedroom and bathroom were a little dark. Not ideal for getting changed in the bedroom or for shaving in the bathroom . There was also no bathroom mat which made the floor slippery after a shower as the shower screen needed to come further along the bath . Some extra floor standing lamps and brighter bulbs in the ceiling lights would certainly improve the room.

Breakfast was good and the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly.

Ideal location, we were attending a wedding nearby at Lapstone Barn, Chipping Norton. We were the only couple staying that evening, extremely peaceful Clean and tidy room with an amazing view from our window Comfy bed Delicious breakfast Full compliments to all staff The restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays for food however we were at the wedding so it didn't make any difference to us.
