There was only one snag and it was staying for four nights and during this time there was no housekeeping in that I had to request fresh towels after the fourth day and there were bins that had to be emptied.

The room was quite hot in the night. We had dinner one night at the restaurant and the food was very basic for what we paid.

Breakfast is great value for money. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was lovely, well-decorated, clean and very spacious. Location is ideal for Central Station.

Two niggles. 1 There was a distinct drain smell coming from the bathroom and there was a lot of dust on the overly ornate glass shelves in he bathroom. 2 AT check in we changed the arrangement to take breakfast and charged it to the room. The following morning, we were not really hungry so asked for breakfast to be taken off, but were told that because we had paid up front when we booked in, we couldn't have a credit back. That policy is very annoying.

The only downside of the hotel is that the walls are really thin. You can hear entire conversations that are happening in the adjacent rooms. We were exceptionally unlucky: the first night our neighbors were talking loudly and laughing until the early morning, as they were drunk, the second night a family with young children was there. Of course they sometimes cry and of course they make noise when they play, that is expected. But if you are a working couple looking for some rest on your vacation, you cannot help but get annoyed by this. I'm not sure if it was just our room, we asked to have our room changed but the hotel was fully booked. Such a shame because otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

The location was amazing and the breakfast was good. There was a lot of choice: pastries, warm dishes (like English breakfast, even vegetarian, waffles), bread, cornflakes and nice juices. Rooms had character, I liked that it wasn't like a hotel you can get wherever, it felt British. Bed was comfortable and shower was really nice! Helpful and welcoming staff.

Bar was a bit draughty with revolving doors leading directly outside, perhaps ok in the summer but it was very cold and wet the night we stayed. Other than that we were very happy with our stay.

Wooden floors might be an issue for sensitive sleepers as you can hear your neighbors. Showers leaks pretty badly, so toilet will be messy after two showers.

Very comfortable beds and beautiful bedrooms. The staff was great and helpful on accommodating our requests. The breakfast is excellent and some of the best you'll find at this price range with a la carte included options and good buffet.

Lighting awful, couldn't do basic make up . I get that you need ambience however there was no main light to be able to function practically. This is enough to do us returning which is a shame as everything else was lovely
