Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomExceptional - Excellent Facilities, host was extremely helpful throughout and the place felt like home and was very clean and comfortable. The location was central to everything with supermarkets, and cinema close by. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

United KingdomNothing really not to like other than very steep stairs which with two small children were a slight concern ( maybe if families were to stay pressure fit stair gates could be provided for this reason)
Stayed one night while in the area for a visit to South Lakes Safari Zoo. Very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Well presented rooms with super comfy beds. Nice bathroom with bath and shower with plenty towels provided. Host Tobi very attentive to ensure a comfortable stay.

United KingdomClean, close to everything I needed in Barrow, convenient parking, great communication from staff. Loved the wall mounted TVs especially in the bedrooms. WiFi was fast. All in all much more comfortable and spacious than a hotel. Will definitely come back, couldn't recommend it more

I think the place is immaculate. It super exceeded my expectations and is some where I will be book marking to return again in the near future. I liked the decor, the cleanliness of the home and the fact that it’s in a really good location too. The host was very nice and was able to answer all our queries prior to our arrival and whilst we were there too. I could tell they went over and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and memorable. All in all, I am pleased we stayed here. 10/10!

United KingdomThe house was advertised as having 4 beds but only had 2. Four men arrived to work for 5 days. Meaning one went home and 2 shared a double bed. I did complain but was told I was wrong. I informed booking.com who agreed with me. They now have changed the description to 2 beds. I tried to get some refund but was refused. No apology just very patronising. When we arrived there was slug trails all over the carpet. The first night we put the thermostat on but heating didn’t come on all night. We later found out the heating was switched off at the boiler
