Tv on top of a wardrobe. Impossible to watch at that angle. Who needs a wardrobe unless you're staying a week?

Lovely hostess who went out of her way to provide a GF breakfast for me, and helpful info about the area.

A small thing, but door to bathroom was a sliding door that squeaked terribly (rm6).

Loved the little touches such as specific facial soap, shower caps, flannels etc provided. Extra milk, tea etc available in reception area, if you ran out in room. Both ladies working at breakfast were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was nice enough and was aware only continental on offer, cereal, toast, crumpets, yoghurt and fruit availiable.

The shower would be perfect if the flow is a little bit powerful.

free breakfast with many kinds of yogurt and cereals you can choose. The breakfast lady is friendly and attentive. The location is close to M6 but with walking distance to the city centre. Also you can get free parking on site! The best: the free bottled water and tasty Border biscuits in the room.

My husband found the bed a bit soft & he kept rolling into the middle, but that's probably due to the big difference in our weights! The ensuite was a bit cramped;the toilet is very close to the wash basin. The property is about 20 -25 min walk into the city centre, we didn't mind after a long car journey & as it was dry & warm but it wouldn't be so good in cold, wet weather. These are minor points though.

We received an exceptionally warm, friendly welcome. The lady on duty at breakfast was also very friendly. The reception hallway, sitting room & breakfast room are bright & clean & attractively decorated & furnished. Our room, although not large, was clean & reasonably comfortable as was the ensuite. Toiletries provided. Kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits & water provided in the room & bottles of water, fresh fruit, sweets & biscuits provided in the hallway. There's a free public carpark immediately behind the property.

Lock deadlock didn’t work but fire still couldn’t be opened from outside without a key but as solo traveller I like to have that extra peace of mind. No access for Street without a key though so on the whole pretty secure

Price was within my budget Host was fab Bed comfy Shower good pressure and hot Brekky fine for what I needed Extra water, fruit, chocolates at door a great extra touch

    Nothing at all.

I really appreciated the fair price and the sense of generosity, thoughtfulness and friendliness. This is so rare now. There were free snacks available. I was met by staff who carried my case upstairs without being asked and were generally helpful and friendly. The heating was adjustable. There was obvious thought for environmental protection in the establishment which I really appreciate. The breakfast was not cooked but quality ingredients and helpful staff present. I could easily walk to Lancaster station with my suitcase along the river path (about half an hour ) I will stay again.

The Lancaster Town House is conveniently located for visitors of the University (as we did with our daughter), about 20 minutes north of the centre of Lancaster by foot, which is a nice walk along the river, even at night as the path is well lit. The hotel is very cosy, in the entrance hall there is a table with some brochures as well as sweets. Our room (8) upstairs is a family room, also nice and cosy. The only thing, and we mentioned it to the land lady, was that as there is a busy road in front of the hotel and therefore it was quite noisy. But they are planning to replace the offending window soon. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the continental breakfast pleasant.

There was a lot of litter around the property and we looked out only to see a rat in the garden

Breakfast was good but we would of liked a cooked breakfast not a problem though as there was a brunch bar a few doors down discounted by our property

I'd been scuba diving and the hosts allowed me to dry my equipment. 11/10 in my book. They were hospitable and made me feel I'd known them for years. Would definitely stay there again.

Would have preferred views of Sydney Opera House or the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. Distinct lack of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain. Seriously, no complaints whatsoever :-)

I’ve no issues but if you want to be in the heart of the city this is a ten minute walk.

This family run B@B 10 minutes from the centre is exceptionally great value , warm and comfortable. A buffet breakfast is also provided and although not a “ cooked “ if that’s your preference, it’s hearty and good quality.
