Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had little or no contact with the owner. We couldn’t find any guest folder with information. We didn’t realise that we would have to pay extra for the hot tub and couldn’t get the jacuzzi bath to work.
It was clean and comfortable and well equipped.

United KingdomNo complaints just would have liked to spend a few more days there, sadly our schedule did allow. For that reason we didn’t get a chance to use hot tub.🙁
A lovely “full to the brim” hamper was left for our breakfast. This was more than enough for the three of us during our stay. Being just off the beaten track made the location very peaceful and serene. Excellent for peace and quiet. EV point available. Huge bonus. Hosts very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe weather wasn't great but that is no fault to the host. Beware of the slanted ceilings in the bedrooms! I definitely knocked my head a couple of times! (I'm 5'3" for reference!) I would also recommend that you arrive or leave during the day to avoid driving on the dark country roads.
The host was lovely, very accommodating and responded to questions and requests very quickly. Clear directions were given on how to get to the property and good recommendations for things to do in the area. We went to the beach that was a short drive away and was very clean. We also went to the local theatre and saw a great performance of 'The sound of music'. Lovely stretch of land to run around in. Also lots of activities in the property for kids to do like read books, Legos, board games etc. Large sofa bed sleeps at least two people very comfortably. The property was very clean with a great kitchen that allowed us to make our meals with ease. I don't think there were any Afro/Caribbean restaurants in the area, but we did enjoy a great Chinese and Thai meal. We forgot there was a dishwasher until the last day so don't forget to take advantage of that! I would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a staycation outside of a busy city. Thanks for a great experience

United KingdomIt's challenging to come up with something, but if I had to mention a preference, having air conditioning could have been a pleasant addition. However, not having it allowed us to fully enjoy the delightful sounds of birds tweeting nearby.
We loved the property for its secluded location, convenient proximity to West Wittering Beach, exceptional privacy, comfortable accommodations, extensive amenities, and the perfect ambiance for both couples and families. It truly felt like our own personal holiday home.

United KingdomWe booked this place last minute. It was immaculate when we arrived and Andy was quick to communicate directions and ideas for our stay. We loved the access to the trampoline, football goals and the playground + the flying fox. Our two littlies loved roaming around the grounds. Everything has been thought of and Rosie kindly left us some Duplo for our kids to play with. Breakfast hamper was lovely and extensive. This was a fantastic stay!

United KingdomWhere to start? The accommodation is beautiful and the hosts friendly and generous. They ensured our toddler had access toys, that we had as much firewood as we needed and even provided a hamper on our arrival with a variety of vegan food (having checked on any dietary requirements despite us only booking the evening before!) We cannot recommend enough and can't wait to stay again!

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn't like!
We liked the quiet and private location overlooking the large garden area. Outside facilities were excellent although we didn't use them all, there was a fire pit and BBQ and plenty of seating. Our host Andy offered to set up tennis or badminton for us on the grass if we wanted to play. In the kitchen so much was provided for example sandwich bags, cling film and foil. The plentiful hamper provided us with a lovely breakfast and little treats like chocolates, biscuits and a chocolate cake too. There was always plenty of hot water for showers each morning. Our hosts were very friendly yet respectful of our privacy and were always on hand to advise or help.

United KingdomWe wanted a getaway to west wittering beach given we couldnt take the kids overseas this year. While that was the plan, we were in for a huge surprise at the little fisher farm where our 2 year old and the 5 year old had as much fun at the grounds as they did on the beach. Some times it felt like we were in south of france given the nice weather. The property it self had everything we needed and more. Once the kids were asleep, the setting was romantic enough to pretend we were on holiday by our selves with no one for miles!
