Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI wish we'd asked Ian (who was very helpful once we arrived) how to find it. Look for a big white house opposite the Sainsbury's Local & drive through the white painted gate posts!
What a lovely little studio! It was just what we needed for a few nights in Shrewsbury. Very happy to recommend to anyone.

United KingdomWe have stayed at the property before in April. This time it was Dec. The apartment itself is quite warm although we did have to put the fan heater on a lot as only one radiator was working. The property has very high ceilings and therefore does not hold the heat very well. The bathroom is an extended section of the property which is very cold. There is a towel heater in there which in fairness keeps your towels nice and warm and gets them dry, but it doesn’t do anything for the room. The bathroom itself is lovely and has a great shower. A shower mat was also provided. It’s ok when you first get out of a hot shower but don’t leave the bathroom door open into the living area as you will feel the cold air travelling through. We would use the apartment again but maybe not in the winter months.

United KingdomCleanliness was lacking in some areas, dust build up on a few areas and the sofa had a strong smell of dog with dog hair on the cushions.
Very clear instructions from our host regarding parking and key collection. Well located only a short walk into town. The appartment itself is a large studio layout with a well equiped kitchen for 2 people on a short break. The bed was very clean and comforatable.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing to complain about
It was really beautiful. A really good use of space and really liked that the apartment is set back off the road and secluded. You have a parking space and your own entrance. The walk into Shrewsbury is really nice and only takes about 10 minutes. There’s a Sainsburys right opposite the apartment and enough facilities to cook if you wanted to. Ian, the owner was just lovely to us from beginning to end, even when there was a problem with our payment he was understanding and more than happy to trust us to pay after. He recommended us some lovely pubs and showed a real interest in our stay.

United KingdomEverything was great. I couldn’t find the apartment on Tripadvisor so I was a little dubious that the apartment would not be as nice as depicted in Booking.com but it was even better!
Ludwick Apartment is incredible value for money with everything you need for a short break in Shrewsbury. Great location and very friendly host.

United KingdomWe went to watch Derby v Shrewsbury and Derby were dreadful, so it was lucky the rest of the weekend was so good!
The flat is lovely, really well equipped and comfortable with a massive double bed! Location is great, 20 mins walk from the centre of Shrewsbury but also lots of amenities on the doorstep including an express supermarket and we found The Brick pub really friendly and welcoming (and cheap!)to watch sport in.

United KingdomPurely from a personal perspective, the bed and pillows were a little soft - certainly not to the point of being uncomfortable.
Location excellent for the centre. Apartment was thoroughly cleaned, and very well equipped. Ample storage available. Spare pillows available. Sainsbury Local directly over the road. Host very friendly and obliging. Off-street parking. I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

United KingdomStruggling here really - the toilet seat was a bit wobbly. There was no tea strainer. I mean, nitpicking doesn't even cover it.
Enormous comfortable bed. Well appointed bathroom, excellent shower. Well provided with utensils etc. Everything in working order. There are blackout blinds on all the (large) windows - one of us is a light sleeper so this was a big plus. The host was very welcoming but unobtrusive after that - he and his family live on the site. Bonus point - the apartment is opposite a mini Sainsbury's open 7-11 every day.

United KingdomNothing much- the open plan layout means that the fridge compressor is audible at night and the property has a feather duvet which- on a purely personal level- is not my favourite bedding.
It's a beautiful property, accurately described and in a great location. We felt it was well priced and extremely well maintained and it benefits from a proper parking space which conceals your car from the main road. The small supermarket nearby is useful for provisions too.
